Dr. Mark S. Lafave

Dr Lafave is very caring and understanding. He has a lot of experience and I trust him and his opinion for treatments. I researched numerous doctors, their credentials, experience etc. before getting an appointment with him.

I can not believe the poor treatment I received. What was also strange was the way the staff act in this doctor’s presence. As Dr LaFave was approaching the door this nurse stopped listening to me and acted so timid almost scared, which told me all I needed to know at that point. I wanted to bolt from the room. I was disregarded and ignored as well. Not a wise decision. Apparently this doctor thinks he is above an “average” person like me. I am above being treated that way! That is why I will trust another with my care. Your lack of concern for my valid medical needs did not go unnoticed. Best regards, -The patient that lost respect in you!

If Dr. LaFave has diagnosed you then get a second opinion or even a third. If he is recommending Dr. Kerlin as your Oncologist go to Greenville or Raleigh for treatment. I had radiation therapy and neither Dr. explained potential side effects and when I went back to them for help they abandoned me. In my case the cure was worse than the disease. I now have chronic side effects that will be with me for life.

This was the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor and his office staff. He was rude, demanding of information and did not give me any advice or help for my problem. After several months, I will never go back to his office and still have not found a doctor to help me.

Dr. Lafave performed a vasectomy on me in Jun 13. I was very pleased with the way he explained the procedure and everything he said is exactly what took place. He even took the time to talk to me about some other male problems I was having and gave me meds/recommendations to correct! I would absolutely recommend him to others!!

Had kidney stones treated by this physician. Had very bad treatment. Would not recommend him to anyone!!!
