Dr. Jody Scott Blanco, MD

He was an amazing GYN sad to hear he retired. But he gave his patients his all. Job well done.

I had 2 surgeries (partial hysterectomy..fibroid n cyst removal) and he did an outstanding job and I felt better and healthier. Great bedside manors and great doctor.

Had stress incontinence which was alleviated by surgical procedure performed by Dr. Blanco. He was friendly, informative and very pleasant to deal with, both before and post-surgery.

Besides being an excellent diagnostician, my late mother really liked Dr. Blanco on a personal level: lively, outgoing, commonsensical and with a sense of humor that really put you at ease. He was rather more spontaneous than most doctors in interactions with patients, and my mother found this refreshing. I drew the same conclusions from the times that I accompanied her to appointments. Regarding other reviewers' negative comments about his staff, (with the caveat that these observations are at least 3 years old, when other people may have been working in his office) my mother never found them rude, just curt in an efficient sort of way.

I had my hysterectomy back in 2005 and researched a lot od doctors in NJ and New York. I originally wanted a myomectomy for my fibroids, but my fibroids were to large and Dr. Blanco said I needed an SAH and was very honest why a myomectomy was not right for me. My gut instinct told me to go with him and boy, I am glad I did. When he opened me up he found not only a huge fibroid, but stage iv endo that I never knew I had---it was everywhere. He managed to excise all the endo off and he kept my ovaries intact which I am very grateful for. I believe his skill and patience paid off for me as if I went with another Dx, they would of taken my ovaries because of the endo and I would of been thrown in surgical menopause. He is the best!

I was in need of hysterectomy and was considering the surgery with Dr.Blanco, who appears to be knowledgeable and caring doctor. However, when I went for a pre-surgical testing I was thrown off by the behavior of his staff. These ladies, whom there were at least 10 of acted rude, obnoxious, irresponsible, arrogant and hostile. I have never seen such a attitude before in any medical institution! Due to such a horrific experience, I decided to get my surgery from another doctor.

dr Blanco is the top of the top. a great doctor and a fantastic human being.

I was a patient of Dr. Blanco for several years. After appointments with the "best" doctors in the NYC area for a diagnosis none could be found I did in depth research and found Dr. Blanco. I was a patient with stage 4 endometriosis, bladder infections, fibroids, IC and more. Soon after meeting him I knew I was at the right place and more import in the right hands. When I left my 1st appointment we had a plan in place. The future was laid out and I left with hope and the knowledge that things were going to physically get better. I did require surgery and when I saw him in the OR I knew I would be just fine, when your his patient you are first. My hope is all physicians are as well trained, educated and brilliant as Dr. Blanco.

Dr. Blanco is a good doctor but his staff aren't courteous. They need to have a lesson in mannerism when dealing with his patients over the telephone.

If all doctors measured up to the level of skill, care and concern Dr. Blanco exhibits from the beginning to the end of your experience with him, the world would become a better place! Thank you Dr. Blanco for your dedication! From a very recent patient!
