Dr. Ullom was the pediatrician for my preemie daughter and then my son before she left Bayside in Pleasanton. My first child was 3 months early and came home a month before her due date. In that first month, we saw her every other day. She was kind and understanding. Me, being an on edge freaked out first time mom, she addressed every concern I had with my preemie, even if I would ask multiple times. She always showed patience and took the time to make sure I was ok. She never steered us in the wrong direction. She was always helpful in getting referrals to a specialist. My concerns were always addressed. To give a quick background, not only was my daughter 3 months early, which comes with its own list of concerns, but then she developed food allergies to almost all foods, eczema, constipation issues, hyper-activity, ROP stage 1, allergic reactions to medications, and more. For each issue, we always received a proper resolution and support. Dr. Ullom is truly amazing. I… have never encountered another doctor or pediatrician like her. She is understanding, compassionate, and most importantly you feel heard and understood about your concerns. There was never a time that she made us feel rushed, never talked down to us, never snippy. Her patience is her virtue. She gets to know the family, not just her patient. My daughter would call her Aunty Dr Ullom. She felt like part of the family and we are truly sad to see her move on but wish her the best of success in her new location. If you live in her area and are looking for a pediatrician, look no further. She is a gem, one of a kind!
