0 STARS Worst doctor EVER at THR CLEBURNE(walls regional hospital) he will misdiagnosis you he guesses be extremely careful even if you go to HOPE medical clinic refuse to be seen by this old doctor he volunteers there he will prescribe you meds for depression or anxiety he'll say it's a also for nerve pain or pain etc. He don't care about proof of documentations (MRI's, written ultrasound diagnosis) or under chiropractor care or diagnosis or emergency room visits that need follow up he guesses that you have anxiety/depresssion?! seems very confused should be out of the practice Litterally!.....please be advised if he'd just take the time to care & listen & NOT roll his eyes like yes right I would not be writing this!!!...... judgemental also seems prejudice against the poor Dr. Melhousen is best 5 star doctor at THR cleburne & hope medical Beware

Place is nasty. Horrible bedside manner. Nurse yells at you. Doctor will back her up with no apology for her or his actions. And both will lie to suit their purpose.

Dr. Stan is a really good doctor. However, if he refers you out for to a specialist it seems he only knows the ones that have the worst bedside manners. Other than this he is truly a good doctor, can usually get same day appts, and never have to wait longer than 15 minutes to see him.

The clinic is dirty and unkept. Looks like a poor Medicade facility. Not impressed at all.

I do not understand the 2-star rating. I have had Dr. J. Stan Johnson {"Dr. Stan") as my personal physician for over 20 years. He has always accurately diagnosed my ailments and usually recommends the right treatment. Occasionally a medicine will not work right for me or I may have an adverse reaction to it, but upon reconferring with Dr. Stan, he quickly changes it to a different one that does work just fine. He has successfully diagnosed and treated my tree pollen allergies with rounds of allergy shots that have helped me immensely. I never have difficulty getting an appointment. As long as a would-be patient cooperates with the phone menu system that Cleburne Family Medicine has set up, no one should have any huge problem with getting an appointment or getting to talk to any one of the doctor's nurses. I have always found all the staff to be courteous, knowledgeable and friendly, from the frontline receptionists to the billing department personnel to the P.A.s, nurses and doctors. I… rate both Dr. Stan and Cleburne Family Medicine as TOP-NOTCH: 4 stars.

I have been using Dr. Stan for 7 or 8 years. I used to swear by him. He was everything you could ever want in a doctor. I would say in the past 1 1/2 years he has changed quite a bit. Mis-diagnosis & not as caring as in the past. I'm thinking maybe it's his age.

My Father has been diagnosed with malignant pancreatic cancer. My Father has given 3 of his children and his son-in-law permission to talk to Dr. Stan and access his medical records and ask questions. We decided instead of all of us bombarding his office with phone calls only one of us would do this, which is my brother. Dr. Stan sent Dad to a radiation oncologist for his first visit this week. We were confused as to why he was not sent to a medical oncologist first. My brother called the office and left a message about that and the message was not answered. After the visit the oncologist was not sure why we were sent to him first either. Also in the records it stated that our Dad has diabetes and reflux. He has neither. My brother called Dr. Stans office and left a message, this time stating that he wanted to speak with Dr. Stan personally with some questions about our Dad. He did return the call but came across as insulted that we were questioning his practices. When asked… about the diabetes he told my bother that Dad was to come in for a glucose tollerance test. When my brother questioned why it was in the report that our Dad had diabetes when he had not even taken the test yet he did not answer. When asked about the reflux diagnosis he said that he had discussed that with our Dad. When my brother told him that Dad knew nothing about it he became defensive. Then when my brother asked why we were sent to a radiation oncologist first he stated that he had told us that 3 times already and hung up on my brother. This is not high school. The only one of us that has called is my brother and he has never been told why. Our Dad is nearly 89 years old and is hard of hearing. He will shake his head like he knows what you are saying when he doesn't. Dr Stan has been seeing him for over 10 years. I do not think that says alot about his relationship with his patients. He stated he did not know why he was talking to my brother. He was personally handed a medical permission slip by my Dad giving Dr Stan permission to talk to us about his health and medical issues so he should had known why he was talking to my brother. Also to hand up on someone because they are trying to question you about health issues that are valid and concerning to our family about our Dad is TOTALLY unprofessional. This is someones life we are discussing here and he just hangs up. Highschool??? We feel like time is of the essance as he has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and it is malignant. Since Dad was sent to this other oncologist it has set his treatment back several weeks as now we have to meet with medical oncologist and the surgeon before treatment can even begin.
