Dr. Joe Roman, MD

It’s hard to find a doctor you feel comfortable with. I was sad when I went to schedule my appointment and found out he retired.

My daughter had moved and gotten married and did not have a regular OB-GYN locally. She developed a very rare condition that was misdiagnosed and Dr. Roman, who had never met her, accepted her on a holiday Saturday as an emergency patient. He did an exploratory surgery and discovered she had a very rare, ovarian ectopic pregnancy -- that could have been life threatening without prompt surgery. How can one say "Thank You," for such kindness, skill, gentle care, excellent communication, patience with a young woman's loss of her first pregnancy? I recommend Dr. Roman highly and if I lived in the same area as my daughter, I would go to him for my own care.

Talks to patients as if they're inferior to him, and his answer to everything is "Go to the ER." Several times I've called his medical judgments into question and I'd seriously recommend you stay away from his practice--unless you're ok w/ being treated as just another source of income for him.
