Dr. Joel Edward Braun, MD

Fantastic Dr. Extremely knowledgeable. One of the kindest Dr.s I’ve know in my 63 years of going to Dr.s. Has done several pain procedures on me, explaining everything in detail to me and answered all of my questions before and after with great results. Thank you Dr. Braun.

Dr Braun has a kind and caring bedside manner. His ability to explain procedures in terms that can be understood by a nonmedical person go beyond what I have experienced with other MD’s. The produces I have had done have been very beneficial with minimal discomfort at the time of the procedure. I have had all my procedures without anesthesia. I would highly recommend Dr. Braun.

Dr. Braun has been treated me for more than a year with pain management. He has always taken time to explain in detail where my pain is originating from, and given me options of treatment. He left the office where I have been receiving treatment, so I will follow him to his next place of practice. I am writing this review because I read another review on Dr. Braun, and I feel that if that person had spent more time with D . Braun they would change their opinion.

What was most memorable is the doctor's arrogance and prejudice. After reading a short list of recent medications; prescribed after a surgery, he had his mind made up. He was rude, made several condescending comments. Did not listen at all, did not review my MRI, and insisted I had nothing wrong. He went on to talk about himself, and how he has the "same problem" and he just gets up and jogs everyday. It was "all in my head" and I was "going down the wrong path", because I had a current prescription after a surgery (not for back problems, but a hernia). He talked about drugs the whole time; which I did not mention once. At one point he said I what I took for my surgery was no different than heroin. At this point I was began to wonder why he was on this strange tirade. I wanted to discuss my issues and treatments. In the end, he actually said he can't answer any questions, he's already 15min behind schedule. Yet, he still tried to schedule me for invasive $ making injections, for an… "imagined" problem. I've since seen a doctor who cares about his profession and patients, and it turns out it is not in my head. There are several issues causing the pain ( reviewed on a MRI, which Dr. Braun did not do) which is now being treated with PT, tens unit, topical rubs, and medications. No invasive and unnecessary injections; they will not help with my specific condition. ( I have tried 5 already) from similar doctors. Dr. Braun was the WORST. A waste of time and money. Adding insult to injury!
