Dr. Joel Burwell, DO

Was referred to Dr Burwell thru Dr Payment my Cardiologist and couldn't be happier with Drs with not only great bedside manners but great personality thanks for making me feel better inside and out !

Charges for unrequested services. Doesn't listen to patients.

His nurses are very rude and have very bad bedside manor

i had dr. burwell when i first got out of the military. i had a job which didnt offer really good insurance. money was tight and he would work with me on co-pays. he also would give me samples because i couldnt pay for my prescriptions. when i found a better job at memorial hospital i would see him in the hall ways doing his rounds. he was never to busy to take time out to speak to me if i was in need of anything. he treated me very kind.

I think Dr. Burwell is an excellent doctor.

Little knowledge, even less professionalism

I guess he bought his degree in a bubble gum machine

he was my father's doctor. my father ended up in the hospital, i never could get an update on his condition, he never returned my calls, i left messages at his office, with the nurses on the floor, in my father's chart. my father was in intensive care twice and i still never talked to dr burwell. finally i called the advocacy line at gulfport memorial to report him and then he called!! and the office wanted to bill me for a missed visit, and my father had already passed. he didn't even notify the staff about my father's passing. unbelieveable, i would never recommend him to anyone.
