Dr. Joel Gary Freitag, MD

I waited 1 1/2 hours and was put down as a no show and was treated rudely by the nurse. I arrived on time but waiting room was empty by the time I was finally called back. Was treated rudely then Dr comes in and says “We thought you were a no show.”I said “Nope I’ve been waiting for 1 1/2 hours.” Very poor office personnel!!

Dr. Freitag is great but I am changing doctors because his front office will not schedule appointments, is rude and abusive and generally a disagreeable experience. You can not get to the Dr or his nurse even in the event of an emergency. I was seen in the er three times and was told to schedule appt 3 times. That was over 2 months ago and still haven't got an appointment. I am going to Baylor in Houston from now on so I don't die from lack of medical care.

I tried for two weeks to get an answer from Dr. Freitag's office regarding a NEW prescription. I did not start the prescription as soon as I had it filled, because the pharmacist gave me one set of directions and Dr Frietag gave me a different set of instructions on when to take the medications. He is NON COMMUNICATIVE. He DOES NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS matter how urgently an answer is needed. He did not give my wife time to ask questions regarding the results of my MRI. Except for one person in the office, his staff is not supportive, uncaring and the atmosphere is very cold. I am very displeased with the services I have not RECEIVED from Dr. Frietag and his office.

I had to give a star to be able to leave this review, otherwise, it would be zero stars! I did not get to see Dr. Freitag because the front office doesn't schedule appointments! The first person I spoke with was arrogant in telling me that they "WE DO NOT SCHEDULE ANY APPOINTMENTS", and "to have my PCP call them to set up the appointment". I asked to speak with the office manager, which told me the same thing. She was rude, condescending, and arrogant when explaining why they don't schedule appointments. I work in the medical field, and this is not how we do things at my office.

Always have to wait excessive amount of time

He was aloof and I felt he was not listening to me.

He has had my daughters EEG results for two weeks and still has not told us her results mean while she is having seizures. I have taken further steps to report his lack of work.

Dr. Freitag treated my husband and is currently treating my son. The level of care has been superior and his ability to put patients and their families at ease, remarkable. It is rare to find a physician who will take the time to actually sit down and answer questions, no matter how small they might be. Highly recommended.

the rudest staff, and after 3 visits still do not have a clue what my test results are however know what he recomends for treatment horrible experience may want to consider looking at other options

Dr. Freitag has been my doctor for many years and has significantly reduced the number of migraines I experience monthly. He is a fine doctor.
