Dr. Joel Michael Goldstein, MD

I have never encountered a Dr like Dr Goldstein. I went to him twice, he did not touch me, proceeded to say I was faking & there was nothing he could do for me. This entire practice works for Ins. Co’s BEWARE & STEER CLEAR! They are not for the patient, just for the money

If it wasn't for Dr. Goldstein and his assistant I probely wouldn't be walking around today. He is the Best that there is !! He is excellant at what he does, I owe him the world for what his surgery has done for me . I was in a car accident and he did the surgery and followed up with me and had me on my feet in no time! I am able to walk, and walk fast and return to most of my normal things. Thanks all to him!!!

Went to Dr. Goldstein after a work related injury. I was told after several tests and basically begging for additional tests/therapy/treatment was released back to work. Was informed that I am "fine". Did seek a 2nd opinion and after several tests was informed I have permanent injuries/nerve damage, along with a bulging disc. I was never even informed by Dr. Goldstein that my MRI, which he ordered, indicated a bulging disc. Thank you for the COMPLETE waste of my time and prolonging the proper medical attention I required.

I had the unfortunate experience of having to go to Goldstein b/c of a work related injury. Goldstein told me "everyone" has the same back problem I have and it's no big deal. "Everyone" out there has herniated discs and arthritis in their spine. Ignored how the injury occurred. Seems he missed a few things in medical school. Was rude and dismissive of my pain and injury. Observed he acted as a puppet to the insurance adjusters and case managers rather than practicing what real medicine is about. Refused to supply consistent pain relief. since I was not going to be his big meal ticket he just dismissed me. For all the people working in his office I was surprised at the level of disorganization. As a patient I didn't feel safe or that I could trust Goldstein. He did not validate any of my concerns. Alls he did was pass me around to his partners which were just like him and I'm no better today. I'm disappointed & sad but wiser!

I had surgery performed on my back by Dr. Goldstein last week. I feel tremedously better already and would not choose another spinal surgeon. Dr. Goldstein has been treating me for 5 1/2 years and has never disregarded any question or rushed into a specific treatment. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for and orthopedic spine doctor.

The first diagnostic for my severe hip and back pain revealed a large herniated disc. As my physical therapy progressed my PT became suspicious that there was a secondary problem with my hip. Dr Goldstein never communicated with my PT and quickly dismissed any concerns that I raised about the hip. During my first visit he was so anxious to leave for lunch that he never left a rx for the pain meds...a huge inconvenience for me. He is an uncaring who should not be a doctor. He is the reason why people in New Jersey have to go to NY or Philly to seek out good medical care...which is what I had to do.

I trust this docter 1000% For the past 4 years I have had everything you could think of ( pt,epidurals,chiropractic, accupuncture 2 pain management doctors and more.) Dr Goldstein listened to all my complaints,and had me go through several proceedures (MRI,MEYLOGRAM, EMG, BLOOD TESTS,ETC.Dr. Joel, an acomplised spinal surgeon, sat with my husband & I and informed me that I was NOT a candudate for surgery. After revewing all my test results he said my problems were nerve endings that were giving me all my pain, and that surgery was not for me. He gave me scripts for medication related to my pain, and I finally have found some relief! He is the best, and I have so much faith in him! He's my hero ! dr
