When House, M.D. has a medical question he asks Dr. Hansford. This man saved my life.

A one star rating as a negative star rating isn't physically possible. I was treated by Dr. Hansford in the ED in Nashua recently and found his care to do more harm than good. He was incredibly callous and rude and, in his words, "I'm going to be really straight forward with you here, what do I need to send you home with to keep you from coming back into the ED?" I realize now he was simply trying to give me a script for pain medication versus providing me quality, emergency medical care. A second trip to the ED that same day resulted in an admission to the hospital and a diagnosis and treatment for c-diff, a condition deadly for children and seniors. I feel sorry that the residents of Exeter have this man practicing in their community as I genuinely wish that he doesn't return to Nashua on a regular basis. Looking back on this recent experience I'm left to assume he was offering to send me home with a script for narcotic pain medication in lieu of doing his job and providing me with… the medical care that I was dearly in need of and, thankfully, eventually received from a different doctor. The reader of this review would be wise to avoid this man and seek medical care from a different practitioner, regardless of the financial cost.

My 24 year old went in there for shortness of breath and chest pain, by ambulance after having to leave her car by the side of the road. He ran a few tests said everything with her heart looked okay. She pointed out a rash that appeared 2 days ago and asked if that could be related, if it could be an allergic reaction. He dismissed her and told her she was just there for her heart and to see her dr. for that. Also that the Nurses were too busy to even discharge her or give her discharge instructions, so "just walk out yourself". Her dad is a heart surgeon and is horrified with this treatment. Unreal.
