Dr. Joel Edward Kopelman, MD

I would not recommend Dr. Kopelman despite the positive experience of others. My eyelift results were not satisfactory and left me with a lopsided uplift. I decided to go elsewhere to have it fixed despite the expense. Dr. K's office eventually provided me with my medical records although they seemed to have forgotten that I was a patient. Additionally, the doctor's demeanor was unpleasant at times and made the experience uncomfortable. Prospective patients should be aware and proceed with caution.

Dr. Joel Kopelman is an amazing oculoplastic surgeon. He is The Doctor with magic hands. I had pretty serious complications after my lower eye bags surgery by another surgeon, I was devastated by the way my lower eyelids and my face looked after, I looked deformed. I consulted with a few other surgeons in order to correct the complications until I was referred to Dr. Kopelman. He was very nice and patiently listened, he explained to me what could be done and all possible ways to fix the problem, he created a plan and followed through. I am still healing but the results are amazing so far, I am not hiding behind the very dark sunglasses anymore. Can’t wait till fully healed. Dr. Kopelman is very skilled at his craft, caring and delicate. not enough words to express how appreciative I am to Dr. Kopelman. His nurse Kiki is also great! I highly recommend Dr. Kopelman if you want outstanding results. Thank you Dr. Kopelman!

Not reliable office. Before surgery I was told I need to pay cash but it would be covered by ins.Not true.got back just just 2/3 of my money back.Never could get clear answer why I wasn't refunded in full. According to ins ,they try to over charge. Too late for me but maybe not for you. Check with your ins before you pay cach in this office

I was lured in, out of network, with the promise I would only be responsible for the balance of my balance of my deductible. I was dishonestly charges hundreds more.

Dr. Kopelman is not only a skilled, professional surgeon, he is kind, compassionate and goes above and beyond for his patients. I contracted a serious infection next to my eye - which had nothing to do with him. He squeezed me in to his very tight schedule as I was very scared and concerned. He has continued to monitor my progress daily and has even opened his office on the weekend to see me. I don't know of any other doctor who is that dedicated to his patients. He has and continues to treat me as if I am family and I can assure you, I am not. Additionally, his treatment goes beyond just the reason you scheduled your appointment in the first place. He cares about your overall physical and mental health. I know, without a doubt, that I am in the best of hands. I would never allow another surgeon to treat me, ever. He answers all questions from his patients and their families. He is never arrogant or dismissive. He is honest, sincere and simply wonderful. Moreover, his office… staff is phenomenal. His wife has reached out to me on numerous occasions, after office hours, to see how I am doing. Annie is a gem and Christine is phenomenal. I would recommend him in a heartbeat as I know whomever sees him will get the best of care. I am truly grateful for all he has done for me and continues to do for me on a daily basis.

This practice is all about the money. The “office manager” is the Doctors wife. I have had work here done only once with a very average result. His bedside manner made me cringe. My advise. Steer clear.

I was referred to see Dr. Kopleman by my dermatologist to remove a cyst from corner of my left eye. I can sincerely say he did an excellent job he was very gentle ,very professional and he is a craft at his profession . I suffer with high levels of an anxitey he was patient and he really kept me calm no pain at all ! The staff very professional his wife ( Lori) was so accommodating she even made me a cup of tea to keep me calm.At this point in my life I would only allow Dr. Joel Kopleman to touch or do any procedures on my face.

I had ptosis eyelid surgery with Dr. Kopelman to fix a sagging eyelid and was not pleased with the result. The cosmetic result was not great. He may be a highly skilled surgeon but I did not find his surgical results or bedside manner impressive at all. He could have easily fixed the issue with an office procedure but never mentioned it.

I recently went to Dr. Kopelman because I was interested in doing Ultrashape. The doctor was very professional and I felt very comfortable with Dr. Kopelman's medical guidance.
