Dr. Joel Robin Lane, MD

Dr. Lanes front office is Amazing. However, he himself is a HORRIBLE physician. He has NO bedside manner. He is degrading. He does not take the time to get to know you or your history, making assumptions on your lifestyle when he knows nothing about it. I seen him because of convenience after injuring my knee and BIMC discharge telling me to follow up with an ortho. Horrible mistake not to find someone new.. With my injured knee and being a very short individual, at my hospital follow up I asked if I could use the stool across the room. He RUDELY stated, “that’s what it’s there for.” And didn’t even begin to try to help me and my 5 ft self on to the table which is like to my waist. IT DOESNT STOP THERE. He degrades you if you’re heavier. Doesn’t take the time to ask if you’re doing anything for weightloss or what a typical day looks like for you with exercise etc. instead assumes you’re just fat and not working on yourself. Oh and implies it like those of us who are carrying extra… weight don’t know the obvious- that weight bares more weight on the knees (DUH). He quickly rushes through important results just to get to the “important stuff” AKA Surgery. And then walks out of the room when you FINALLY stand up for yourself after 4 degrading visits. Lastly, his MA, Maritza and him make a good duo. She is self centered, snooty, and seems miserable. She Never stated her name once during 4 visits and 5 phone calls. Shes a child who belongs in a call center. No personality and just dislikes people just for fun. The manager, Jody SEEMED genuine and apologized sincerely for Dr lanes behavior and lack of care. Including but not limited to his recent outburst walking out of the room and yelling about my transparent thoughts on his care. DO NOT GIVE THIS DR. A SECOND OF YOUR PRECIOUS TIME

Dr. Lane did a remarkable job reconstructing my knee. ACL and double meniscectomy. I had a very quick recovery and return to work.

Dr. Lane is great! I first saw him ten plus years ago and will continue to be the doctor I see or ortho concerns. He’s personable and easy to talk to. He is thorough and honest. Thank you Dr. Lane.

Dr. Lane is a very nice young man and explained how long it will take for my wrist to stop hurting.

So far it has been a great experience with Dr. Lane. I am having my left shoulder replaced. Dr. Lane had thoroughly explained everything about the procedure and the recovery. I am confident the procedure will go very well, it will eliminate the pain and I will be able to do the thing I enjoy once again.

Dr. Lane and his office are awesome! Dr. Lane is pragmatic and to the point. The staff got my referral in for related testing and I was called by the referred office the same afternoon.

I just had my second knee replacement done, after 5 years. I chose to go back to Dr. Lane because my first surgery was so successful. I also decided not to wait, that life is too short to be inactive, with symptoms of pain and limping. Dr. Lane does a great job. Tressa is there for pre and post needs, thankfully.
