Absolutely rude. Been going for over 20 years. Underestimated the degree of rude He is willing to go.

Dr Pena is very patient and thorough. His staff is efficient and personable. I felt heard and respected.

Dr. Pena is arrogant. He makes patients wait for hours. Lots of "faith" images throughout his office, but he acts the opposite. Go with someone else, seems like he is packing patients in just for the money.

I recently began having uncontrollable seizures. I’ve never had a history of head injuries nor do seizures run in my family. After four ER visits and hundreds of dollars spent on a neurologist, I kept being told I was just dehydrated and had epilepsy. I was put on anti-seizure medicine for epilepsy, but I continued to have seizures almost daily. My daughter continually tried to explain to several doctors, including the neurologist, my symptoms because I wasn’t having normal seizures or epileptic seizures. Dr. Pena is the only doctor who listened to my daughter and correctly diagnosed me with Jacksonian seizures and put me on a medicine regimen that actually works. I am grateful for his help and for taking the time to be caring and attentive to my doctor, rather than dismissing her like everyone else.

Dr. Pena was my Internist while I was taking the chemo Herceptin, which has a listed side effect of heart failure. I had shortness of breath after one treatment and reported it. He dismissed my concerns saying I have COPD.. Heart failure symptoms got worse and he continued to say it was COPD even though the symptoms only started one week after Herceptin and COPD does not act like that. I finally went to the ER and by then had lost 50% of my heart function. He claims that I didn't follow his directions but he have me none. As of now, I have lost 35% of heart function and have limited capacity for daily activities. Be careful of this one and be aware, he will always have "excuses" and blame the patient.

Have been going to dr Pena for over 15 years! I appreciate everything he does for me!! Always listens and Does all he can! Amazing doctor!!

Dr. Pena is an arrogant narcissist who had me wait 2.5 hours and then proceeded to speak about himself during our office visit. He did not listen to my needs or even ask any questions to learn more about why I was there, became confrontational, and walked out on me.

He’s a narcissist dr, he always talks about him,if you interrupted he gets mad and he didn’t listen to the patients.

Dr. Pena is a great physician. I have been his patient for over 20 years. My entire family is now seeing him. His staff is wonderful too. They never turn anyone away regardless of how busy their schedule is. He and his kind staff truly care about the well-being of their patients. I hope he never retirees!
