Dr. Joel Warren Secrest, MD

Joel Secrest ordered imaging of our newborn baby girl just under 36 hours after birth. The orders were filled without ever speaking to us (as the parents) and we never even met this doctor. We have reached out to the staff multiple times to express our concerns and to ask to speak with the doctor but he refused to even speak with us. It is now over a week later and we have not received any word from the doctor by way of apology or explanation. This imaging was completely unnecessary (clinically speaking) and could have potential long-term consequences for our poor daughter based on family history and the location of the imaging. This was our second child to be born at LGH Women’s and Babies and we have had nothing but great experiences with the staff and facility EXCEPT for this specific doctor. Such a sad blemish to an otherwise great facility.
