Dr. Allen Paul Friedenstab, MD

I used to cringe at the thought of going to see my gynecologist, but this Doctor's kind, thoughtful, and respectful demeanor sets you at ease every time. His vast knowledge is amazing, he literally saved my life and for this I will always be indebted to him. What took countless Doctors over a period of 2 years to diagnose took Dr. Friedenstab one visit! If you want to have the very best care possible then you need not look much further than to this wonderful Doctor. I gurantee that you, your daughter, mother and grandmother will feel that you are being treated in a special and unique way.

Dr. Friedenstab has been my ob/gyn for 31 years. He delivered my son,recognizing that my son was in distress as I was laboring. He has a very gentle bedside manner,always apologizing if he feels the examination might be hurting me,which it never does. He will call with results after normal working hours. I had been waiting for results of a breast biopsy and thought that I would have to wait an additional day to hear. He called at 5:46 pm with the results. It wasn't news I wanted to hear,but he explained the situation, proposed treatment and answered the questions I had. We have grown old together and it is because of his thoroughness, that I have gotten back on top with my medical care with my cardiologist and urologist. Can't say enough about him.

He's the best! I highly recommend him.

Dr Friedenstab is definitely the best physician I have ever dealt with...and I have certainly seen more than my share of doctors. I also am a health care professional. He is very thorough, knowledgeable and follows up with you promptly after any testing, which on it's own is enough reason to see him. His gentle, humble nature and obvious compassion for his patients is just icing on the cake!

I couldn't get past the front desk rudeness so I'll never know.

I had been going to Mr. Friedenstab for over 5 years, but switched last year because of the front desk staff. They smile and treat you in a condescending manner, then close the class and you can hear them speak badly of the days patients. One day I called to discuss a problem, and without listening, they told me to go to the pharmacy. I finally got upset, and the nurse called me back and prescribed me the necessary medication & treatment. I even called the next day to apologize for getting upset, they told me no worries....My next visit, the front desk staff "lost my chart" as I waited for an hour. When I finally got in to see the doctor, he was very apologetic, and just did not understand what happened to my chart... but I think I knew, so to avoid this again, I went somewhere else this year. I miss the wonderful doctor, but his staff needs to appreciate their jobs and the patients that come to see them. The front desk staff have been with him for a long time, I doubt anything… will change soon..... sure is a shame...

Be careful likes to see Lums patients without permition from spouse

For the last fourteen years I have had the good fortune to have Dr. Friedenstab as my gynecologist. I feel such confidence in his abilities and I have been treated by doctors at the famed JOHNS HOPKINS HOSPITAL and not one can compare to this man. He makes me feel like I'm the only patient he has that day and his questions always include what else is happening to me health wise...never had that before. This doctor sees the whole person not parts and we are extremely fortunate to have him here in Vero Beach.

I have to admit I am not fan of writing internet reviews. However, it seems that every time I go to this site to look up the office number to schedule an appointment or to refer someone, there is a negative review posted. The previous reviewer encouraged patients to share their experience, so I will take the initiative to to so for the second time. I have been a patient of Dr. Friedenstab for several years and so is my daughter. I must reiterate that this doctor is every patient's dream. He is knowledge, compassionate, decisive and a mentor. I have dealt with every staff in the office and have never encountered a problem. As a matter of fact, I have no problems securing appointments. I even receive emails or post cards reminders. I have been treated like a queen in this office. Staff has walked me to the rest room an waited. My daughter and friends that was referred to the office had similar experiences. I was scheduled for surgery and my pre-op and hospital appointments were… incredible from beginning to end in comparison to my past experiences. In summary, if it is the office policy not to accept cash for visits or procedures, I do not see how that is a reflection on the services provided by this office. I highly recommend this doctor, please do not allow these negative reviews to deter you from excellent health care.

Dr. F, is a great doctor who takes the time to listen to you and address all of your concerns with out rushing. +++++
