i could give no stars i would. This man ruined my perfectly healthy athletic child. She went into surgery walking and excited at the potential to be able to attain optimal athletic ability. Unfortunately, she left limping & eventually not being able to walk from a botched catheter ablation. Ever since the surgery, she suffers from chronic groin pain, seizures, & daily pass outs from the intense pain. Her life has changed & if i could go back i wouldn’t allow this man to lay a finger on her. PLEASE do not allow your child anywhere near this man! He didn’t know why she was having this pain & sarcastically said- “well, at least her SVT is gone” & laughed when he said it. Stay FAR AWAY!

Dr Temple performed a Catheter Ablation procedure on my daughter in 2011. My daughter is now 22 years old and has had zero complications with Wolffe Parkinson White since her procedure. She is active and able to fully function without pervasive and intermittent bouts of Tachycardia since the procedure. He went in to burn one area of misfire and ended having to burn at least 4 different areas of her heart. We are grateful and thankful for his acuity and expertise in this field! Dr. Temple now has a permanent place in our hearts.

My visit was not impressive. Didn't like how it went. Decided to go to CHOP

Joel mis-diagnosed my son with a heart condition which had no cure. This prevented him from playing athletics for the rest of his life and was placed on medication, permanently, with the potential of having to install a defibrillator. He had a promising athletic career with a good chance for a collegiate career. He missed out on high school activities and was depressed affecting his high school GPA. Five years later we discovered from a different institution my son had a different heart condition which was curable with surgery. The surgery was completed successfully and he is good as new. No meds and no restrictions. The bad news is it's too late to recover from the five year gap of sitting on the sidelines. I give my son credit for trying a comeback, due to his passion, as he is playing well but just not at the level you need for college. Big loss, heartbreak, and major disappointment caused by Joel. We did get a second opinion at the time but looking back on that they did very… little to really verify his condition. And that institution had the same reputation as A. I. DuPont so we believed the original diagnosis. At the end of it all Joel didn't apologize or own it. He also continued to stick to his original diagnosis when all the new information became available and did not support the surgery. Life altering event I will never forget or forgive.

Dr. Temple is such a knowledgeable doctor and is not threatened by any questions. He includes the patient and listens to everything very carefully. He is extremely kind and caring. He did over 5 hours of surgery on my daughter and kept me up to date at all times. Everything went great. He is professional yet very personable. He does a very thorough follow-up. If tests are needed he fits them in very fast and explains the results immediately. He explains everything in terms the parent and patient can understand. He listens carefully to any concerns and addresses them all. You can call with a question at any time. He has an outstanding staff that is very personable and on the ball. He is a GREAT doctor.
