Dr. Joel Anthony Torretti, MD

Dr. Torretti has completed three spinal fusion surgeries for me. I have always been treated with the utmost respect and compassion. I received very positive results everytime. I would recommend Dr.Torretti and his staff without any reservations.

if you are referred to dr torretti,,, RUN !!! he is not a nice man. does not care about his patients and gives you a run around for years until he decides to dismiss you and not see you any longer. His pa, nick... is wonderful. what a mismatch. i cant say enough bad things about this doctor. He did a two level fusion on me and when that did not fix the problem, he treated me with disrespect and sarcasm. I would never send anyone to him.. the best thing for UOC is to get rid of him. He is giving all of the GOOD doctors from there a bad name.

And that's all you will be to this quack. He and his PA come across of the densest form of human life, but they are not that incompetent surely because they're graduates of PSU medical school. So instead one would have to begin to think there's an alterior motive behind the run around. If you choose to go there do not expect, bedside manor, friendliness, a physician who listens to what you're saying (because if you get more than 15 minute face time is Venture or Torretti you've got me beat all 6 wasted visits), a quick direct response to your issue or an overall feeling that they truely are in the medical field to help you. After seeing PA Venture 4 different occasions, I then got to see Dr. Torretti, who walked in, introduced himself and said "so why are you here?" Upon my tongue becoming tied because that was the last thing I expected to be asked initially, Dr. Torretti then asked in an agitated voice, "well what's your problem?" I kid you not!!! So if you are reading this please do… yourself a favor and listen to your intuition! My gut told me this place wasn't right during the 2nd visit but I was holding on to a false hope that these men could bring me my life back. Wish I would have listen to myself then, not 2 months later and 4 visits. I wish whoever is reading this much luck in your recovery.

Dr was in a hurry is partner told me I needed surgery asap because I lost bladder control and looking at my mri I was to come back to office the next day to be seen by torretti and put on or schedule. Dr torretti did not show up so I was scheduled two weeks later only for him to say my back was ok go to pain clinic wth!! he did not like upmc for you my insurance it's wrong !! What a jerk!! I would never rec

I had a debilitating low back issue that I struggled with for six months. Other doctors sent me for PT, steroid injections, etc. When we finally figured out the issue, I was referred to UOC. They got me in the very next day and I was in surgery with Dr. Torretti two days later. I am now 95% two weeks post-op and couldn't be more pleased with his ability to fix the issue, the clear explanation I had before the procedure and the genuine concern about hwo I'm doing. My appointment was running very late the first visit (because they squeezed me in so quickly), but it was well worth waiting. He's a terrific doctor and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
