My personal experience with Joey Parker, Nurse Practitioner (not an MD) was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I found his demeanor to be rude, dismissive, and overly self-focused, as though he was more interested in hearing himself speak than actually listening to or addressing patient concerns.Communication felt one-sided, and I felt unheard and frustrated rather than cared for. That may work for some people, but it certainly did not work for me.Additionally, based on my personal understanding of privacy laws and HIPAA, I had concerns about what I perceived as a potential issue related to patient confidentiality and a HIPAA violation, which made me even more uncomfortable with the overall experience.To be clear, this is strictly my personal opinion based on my own experience, but I would not choose to use his services again and I would personally recommend othets not either. If he is consulted while you're a patient at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, I would suggest… asking for a referral to a different provider in his field, I certainly will in the future should the need arise. When I complained to one of the members of the nursing staff, I was told: People either love him or hate him". I think it's clear which category I am in.
