Dr. Abikhaled performed my gall bladder surgery on an urgent/emergent basis. He was kind, a great listener, and the outcome was very good. My pain is gone! Would recommend Dr. Abikhaled highly.

If you read other reviews of Dr. Abikhaled, you will conclude that he walks on water. Well, the other reviews are pretty much right. You cannot do better in selecting a general surgeon.

Before I met Dr Abikhaled, I consulted with another surgeon, who proposed a more extensive surgery than what I was expecting. I was surprised to learn the proposed surgery is the traditional procedure for my medical diagnosis. Considering the risk involved (plus a lifetime of meds), I needed to feel confident that at least other options were considered. So I sought a second opinion. Fortunately, I found Dr Abikhaled. He took the time to listen and allowed me to express my concerns without trying to convince me otherwise. He carefully explained the possible outcomes in surgery and gave me the opportunity to ask questions. His approach toward me as a patient gave me the confidence to trust his decision on which procedure would be best. My surgery went well. Dr Abikhaled skillfully performed a more difficult procedure than anticipated. I am grateful for his extra effort and very fortunate to have a better than expected outcome. I could not have found a better surgeon.

First,I was impressed with his staff: I was treated with courtesy and professionalism. Further, Dr. John Abikhaled explained the op procedure precisely, and this helped me overcome my anxiety(I suffer from PTSD). The surgical prep Sisters of Mercy(term for nurses used by us Nam vets) made my ordeal so much easier.Much Thanks to my Anesthesiologist, for his sense of humor. I had no anesthetic complications after surgery. I thank Dr. Abikhaled for his expertise: I experienced no pain after surgery. I give a 5 star rating to all my experiences under Dr. Abikhaled's care.

Dr. Abikhaled is an outstanding physician, insightful and informed in diagnosis, skilled in his surgical approach and caring in his manner with patients. He helped resolve a parathyroid problem that had troubled me for two years and had proven beyond the skill of twenty five other physicians I had consulted, both here and at highly regarded institutions outside Austin. I highly recommend him.

I had gallbladder issues, Dr. Abikhaled is knowledgeable and isn't pushy. He took is time in making sure the issue was the gallbladder, ordering the needed exams and making sure I was comfortable with the decision of having it removed. The surgery went fine. Dr. Abikhaled always returned my calls and answered all my questions as insistent as they were. Great Doctor, would recomend...
