Like the title says thank goodness I'm alive!!!! I saw Doctor Adams complaining mainly of upper chest pain that I thought was acid reflux. I had an intense burning sensation in my chest and explained while visiting the Columbus zoo. I could walk 5 minutes and would have to rest for 10 minutes because the tightness/burning sensation was very intense. He examined me and made an appointment for a Gi specialist as well as cardiologist. Approximately, after a week, I called the office expressing concern that my symptoms were similar to angina (heart disease). When I spoke to Doctor Adans he asked, "When is your cardiologist appointment?" I replied in a week and he responded with, " Let me know how it goes." When I went to the cardiology appointment and they hooked me up to an ekg they were very concerned. Based off the EKG I had or was having a severe heart attack. Say what! An ultrasound indicated that indeed was the case and I was rushed to OSU where a heart catheter and 2 stints were… placed. Dr. Adams brushed aside my concerns didn't indicate an emergency room visit might be helpful nor did he do an ekg in his office. Unfortunately, I now have permanent damage to my heart and am now taking 5 medications one of which costs $200 a month with insurance. Other health care providers have expressed concern that he didn't at least hook me up to an ekg with the symptoms presented. I don't like speaking illy of others but because of this experience I have to complete cardio rehab 3x weekly, take medications, and have permanent damage to my heart that may result in having to get a defibrillator implanted.

Terrible follow up, waited 2 months for a referral to a specialist

The office staff never answers the phone nor returns voice mail messages. It is hard to get an appointment for that reason, not because he is too busy. It is not the doctor, but the office staff.
