Dr. John Mc Neil Ballard, MD

He is the worst dr for IME purposes. He lies and does not state the facts when siding with the insurance company. Anyone going to him for these exams better get a lawyer. He works for them and will do what is best for them not you as the patient.

Dr. Ballard doesn’t make enough money being an orthopedic surgeon. He has a side hustle working for insurance companies. He’s paid to lie, ignore facts or exaggerate others. Dr Ballard doesn’t care about his patients. He cares about MONEY. He will make the hardest time of your life even worse. I wonder how he sleeps at night.

Dr. Ballard takes the time to listen. You can tell that he cares and his staff are efficient and very friendly I highly recommend dr. Ballard and his staff at Hope orthopedic

His diagnosis wasn't just inaccurate, but was n't even a hypothesis baisn in sound medicine or science. I would strongly urge people not to treat with this doctor, and for those who have to gather any factual evidence to present to the state medical Bord. Its important for this information to be reviewed, to insure proper medical practice to patients.

This was the worst Health care I have experienced

Dr Ballard did my first shoulder surgery and somehow missed a 2 1/4" x 2" bone spur at the top of my shoulder. His surgery was not effective and it totally failed. Run like heck from this doctor and find someone good. I went to Dr Puskas in SIlverton for the second surgery. Dr Ballard has a terrible bedside manner, like other reviewers he did not touch my shoulder, just simple movements, very poor follow up, I ended up in the emergency room 6 days later. Would never recommend him.

his approach is wait and see. after several visits, he did not give me any treatment or pain medication for my knee pain. it has been suffering 6 mos too long, its time to change doctor.

Ineffective office visit inaccurate diagnosis unprofessional manner.Dr. Ballard spent less than 5 minutes with me, did not touch or review my ailing shoulder, but made me do a few simple movements to demonstrate the shoulders lack of movement and pain thresholds. He did not review the ultrasound I had sent to his office and seemingly out of the blue diagnosed the stiffness in my shoulder as Adhesive Capsulitis. He said I did not need an MRI but recommended I purchase at $70.00 a month rental, a Dynasplint for stretching the arm and shoulder back into shape.The next week I went for a second opinion and saw Dr. Raylene Gordin who toughly investigated the shoulder and recommended an MRI which showed a minor tear in the Bicep Tendon which is causing the pain and stiffness. She recommended either surgery to reattach the tendon, leave it alone with a shot of cortisone, some simple stretches and for me to consider these options in the weeks and months to come and using a Dynasplint would… further injure and worsen the tear.A far more thorough diagnosis and treatment opportunities than offered by Dr. Ballard. Since we are leaving town I opted for the cortisone shot and will reconsider surgery in three months unless the tendon tears at which time Ill make further decisions.
