Testing is outdated and was not relevant to visit. There were no results or conclusions offered from computer testing ($600).

AVOID this Neuropsychiatry practice! Our doctor is knowledgeable and competent. However, the practice staff, the way they talk to patients, and their management of care is a nightmare. It is impossible to speak to anyone, calls are not returned for days. Medication refill communication issues are highly negligent for a psychiatric clinic. The office staff is rude and condescending, and constant staff turnover, which is very shady to say the least. Don't bother trying to complain or address problems. Calls are not returned, the voicemail system intentionally designed to thwart patient talking to anyone, VERY scary if you have any issues with prescribed medication. This practice seems to have zero concern for the needs of patients. They make the DMV look good in comparison. Good doctors, but negligent, hostile, and unresponsive practice/office staff. Look for care elsewhere.

Dr. Barkenbus is very bright, knowledgable with excellent inter-personal skills. I consider myself fortunate to have found him.

I recently saw Dr. John Barkenbus for my memory due to a brain bleed 2 1/2 yrs ago. I was leary about him due to negative comments found here, but I did not find ANY of those to be true. I want the public to know that if they need a neuropshychiatrist, I highly recommend Dr. Barkenbus. Dr. Barkenbus and his staff were very friendly, efficient and caring. I have nothing but positive comments for this Dr. and would recommend him to anyone I know without a minutes hesitation. Kudos to you Dr. Barkenbus!!

This physician does not speak with his patients and he makes it known that he does not care what his patients think. I would not recommend (this so called physician) who makes it clear that his patients don't have enough of a brain to speak to him nor enough of a brain to be able to be able to communicate their needs with him. He makes it clear that he feels better than God himself and this causes him to show no need to care about the needs or will of his patients.

Does a great job knowing what kinds of meds to try with our son and really listens to our reports of how he is doing. We see him every 4 weeks and he always encourages us to check in between appointments if we need to. His nurse is also very helpful.
