Dr. John David Blizzard, MD

Dr. Blizzard replaced my heart valve. 11 years later, I am in better health than most people in their later 70's. I am a big fan of Dr Blizzard.

Dr. Blizzard made A careless and avoidable mistake when putting in my pacemaker. His mistake caused me to require two more surgeries to correct the problem he created. He also made a crude and insensitive remark about my “pain” when it turned out that I hadn’t been given any pain meds after the first corrective surgery. He didn’t realize I could hear him when he said, “Boy, she sure can milk this.” Another doctor took over the pain control.

Blizzard is self centered, arrogant, my wife came close to death because he refused to take the time to listen and follow up after her surgery. You can do much better than John Blizzard, please consider another surgon, their out there.

What decent hospital let's a surgeon who is mentally impaired operate on people.He was fired 4 months after operating on my husband. He never had quality of life for the next 3 years. It took him 3 years to die..who do I sue, the doctor or the hospital or both. They knew he was impairedin 2013. WTH. Do not go to this surgeon!!! HAD I known I would have taken my husband elsewhere, but that decision was taken from me.

I had to have three follow-up surgeries in order to correct damage caused by John Blizzard’s carelessness during my heart surgery.

he sent me home too soon and I ended up in critical care on the following evening . No one would take responsibility for this mistake.

Could not say enough nice things about this man! He is a class act. He is a true professional. He requires the best of himself and his staff! He was at my husbands bedside every morning at 6:30 AM to check on how his night was. His dedication and passion for his job and concern for his patients is beyond reproach!

Cold, rude, no empathy, anxious to get off to Portland for his car racing. Made sarcastic remarks when he thought I was out of earshot.

I had a heart condition that required a pacemaker. Emergency surgery was required. The were going to put in a temporary until they had room in the schedule but Blizzard stepped in and said no i want him in the OR in 45 min!! Within 2 hours i was walking out all fixed up! Thanks Doc your the best! He is funny and straight to the point. I can see how some people might find him a bit abrasive but i happen to love that about him!
