Dr. John Daniel Bordiuk, MD

Super smart doctor with great bedside manner. Uses functional medicine and natural remedies along with prescriptions when needed. Dr. B went above and beyond during my recent COVID19 scare- he took my calls after hours and on the weekend,provided reassurance during a frightening time. Dr. B and his staff are caring, responsive and professional. I like the small office because they really get to know you and care.

I have been part of this practice for nearly 15 years. Dr. Bordiuk was a kind and caring practitioner who would spend time with you, look into your eyes and connect. That all changed when he started his own practice. He was like he magically turned into a bean counter. Meetings with him were clipped and perfunctory. He spent most of his time staring into his computer screen, rarely looking up. I had a chronic condition that he knew about but during my annual exam with him, it was as though he never heard about it. I decide to switch my care to his nurse practioner Christina Knight who was wonderful but she left. I now see her replacement, Ginette Lafleur who is very nice but not a deep thinker. I also feel our meetings are perfunctory. Most receently, I had a medical crisis, which was discovered by another MD. I wanted to let Ginette know (I've given up on Bordiuk) and asked for a same day appointment. I was given one and faxed over my bloodwork. Ten minutes after the… meeting was supposed to begin, I hadn't heard from Ginette so I called the office. The receptionist told me that Ginette needed time to look at the labwork and that she would like to reschedule our meeting--for 8 days from then. I was incredulous. This was a medical condition that my other MD fe;t needed immediate attention--in fact she got me into see a specialist the same day she got the results back. I knew that this office is disorganized and chaotic but this was beyond anything I could imagine--it bordered on malpractice. I rarely write reviews but I feel the need to warn prospective patients--stay away!

I have been seeing Dr. John for several months. His approach with both functional medicine and integrative have made all the difference. He sees you first in his office and not in the exam room, which feels so much more comfortable then other experiences. He is now my PCP and I feel grateful for his care. His staff is incredibly kind and prompt with everything. The office is calm and cozy. Glad to be part of Newton Wellesley system- one of the best hospitals around.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!

I have been with Dr. Bordiuk for over 15 years and I can say he is the best physician in the area. He is wicked smart, reliable and goes the extra mile when needed to figure out a strange or complicated issue. He treats me as an equal player in my own health care. NWH and Partners are the best hospitals so other patients complaining about needing to stay in network makes no sense to me. His Nurse and staff are very caring- happy people. I have complicated issues and going to Inner Balance is something I look forward to versus dreading.

Great first meeting with Dr. Bordiuk at Inner Balance. He really knows his stuff, put me at ease regarding my complex issues, runs on time and didn't try to sell me a bag of expensive supplements like other "integrative providers". His staff is warm and professional. Office is gorgeous- spa like. I just changed my primary care to them.

--Dr. Borduik requested that my email questions be brief and require only "one word or phrase answers" on his part. On the other hand he spent more time cracking jokes than answering medical questions on my first visit. He seemed very concerned with his own precious time but had no respect for mine. -Dr. Bordiuk would not explain my blood-work unless I scheduled an in-person follow up visit or paid $140 out of pocket for a 20 minute phone consult (turned out there was nothing to explain, my results were all normal). -Office staff is fair, no complaints. -Office itself is clean and attractive. -Perhaps other doctors on his team have more regard for their patients, but I won't be returning to find out.

Inner Balance came highly recommended by a friend. My daughter and I both saw Ginette - nurse practitioner. She spent a lot of time with us, had great suggestions and listened. Didn't feel rushed. No need to see the doctor but we can if needed in the future. They work as team- nice to know. But we both prefer a woman and felt she was very smart and caring.

Best care. Smart physician who thinks outside the box. He has helped me more than multiple specialists.
