Dr. John Douglas Boyer, MD

I saw Dr. Boyer for a Mohs surgical procedure to remove basal cell skin cancer. The initial consultation went very smoothly and Dr. Boyer seemed very confident and competent. I had the surgery today. He presented with extreme confidence that my issue had an extremely high likelihood of being resolved today. Yet at the same time, there was no arrogance about him: just a man who knew what he was doing. He was personable and had an excellent, respectful staff. --Stephen Dantzig, Psy.D.

I’ve had many MOHS surgeries from Dr. Boyer... He and his Staff are excellent, each experience has been what you’d expect from an expert. Caring, compassionate and informational on exactly what what he plans to do... Do not be distracted by any rating less the 5 stars, In my personal feeling is they don’t understand what MOHS surgery entails. Make an appointment with him and know you are in the Best Hands possible.. Highly Recommend...

Excellent staff and office personnel, great doctor

Very professional and skilled. I had MOHs surgery on nose to remove skin cancer. He did skin graft and left no noticeable scar. Well run office with caring, well trained staff.

I had a basal cell removed by Dr Boyer this week. His staff is excellent, kind, and helpful. The procedure did not take long at all and was relatively painless. Dr. Boyer made me feel safe and secure knowing I was going to be taken care of. The only thing I can say negative is the offices walls are paper thin making patient confidentiality non existent, but everyone's there for the same thing so not really a big deal. All in all it was a great experience being taken care of by Dr Boyer and his staff, I would recommend him to everyone!

I had two skin cancers on my nose which Dr. Boyer removed last December. He did an EXCELLENT job. I had about 8 stitches on one of the cancer spots and had a skin graft on the other. He did an amazing job - I cannot see any scars. He has an excellent staff and efficiently run office. Although not a warm and fuzzy doctor, he is kind, explains the procedures and is very skilled at what he does. I highly recommend him.

I found Dr. Boyer and his staff to be organized and professional.I flew in from an outer island first thing in the morning and was on my way home in a very reasonable amount of time.I found Dr .Boyer and his staff to be friendly and punctual.I would not hesitate to use Dr. Boyer again and feel a great deal of comfort in knowing that his services are available.

I was very disappointed with the care that Dr. Boyer(Butcher) provided me. He left a huge ugly scar on my nose when he removed a small skin cancer. It hurt alot too and he didn't seem to care that I was in pain. I was shocked when I saw how much he charged and was paid to disfigure my nose. What a ripoff. I recommend that you avoid seeing this Doctor. If I had it to do all over again I would see a plastic surgeon instead since I had to see one anyway to fix the "hack job" that Dr. Boyer did on my nose.

Don't go to this Doctor. He removed a small skin cancer on my face by taking a huge chunk of skin and he left a disfiguring scar. The surgery was very painful. When I complained of pain during the surgery he didn't seem to care. He was cold and inconsiderate. His staff was not very professional or friendly either. Do yourself a favor and AVOID this Doctor.
