I have been a patient of John Brayton's since 2007. I needed a spinal cord fusion and he did a wonderful job. I healed quickly. A year later, the pain continued but in a difference location in my back. He performed another fusion and when this did not work, he referred me to a pain specialist. Since that time, I have seen him on numerous occasions and he recently referred me to the Mayo Clinic where they performed a 7 level neck fusion. He had told me that he did not feel comfortable performing that much surgery at one time. So, Mayo Clinic did the neck fusion. Because this back pain has again progressed, he and a pain specialist jointly decided I needed a spinal cord stimulator which the trial of this gave me some relief. Dr. Brayton is the type of doctor who will be totally honest with you and will without question refer you to someone who might be able to give better relief. He is a brilliant surgeon and a very nice person who truly cares about his patients. I would… highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. John Brayton saved my life. I had a massive tumor growing through my spinal cord in the C2-C3 area. It would be only months, at the rate that the tumor was growing, before I would have been at best a quadriplegic or ultimately dead. Dr. Brayton and his team skillfully removed the tumor and kept me alive on the table without having any in-surgery emergencies. It was highly possible that I might have a cord stroke during this procedure, but because of the detailed manipulation and unmatched skill of this man, I came through without incident. After a year now I am alive to tell you about my experience. I will not trust my life when it comes to my spine and brain to anyone else. God Bless you John you are my guardian angel.

He is truly an excellent physician and excellent human being. He will explain things in a down to earth fashion and is very compassionate with his patients. I cannot say enough good things about him and how he practices.

I have seen and had surgery performed on my by Dr. Brayton in the past. I recently had an appointment with him and to my delight he has not changed. He is a wonderful patient advocate, surgeon and very easy to talk to. I believe his plan of care is good and I would always believe in his opinion. When I was suffering with sciatica, I aksed two different doctor friends whom they would go to given the same problem. One gave me two names, including John Brayton, and the other said there was no one better than John Brayton. He has done two of my surgeries, each of which should have landed me in the hospital for five days. Instead, with his miracle hands and the tremendous care I received at Delnor, I was out after one night for the first and two nights after the second surgery. And best of all, the only pain I had was the minimal pain following any surgery. Since then, my daughter had the same results following her back surgery and my sister, husband, and I are lined up for surgery in the coming months. John Brayton is the absolute BEST in the business.
