Dr. John Clark Bundren, MD

Dr. Bundren is a caring physician. He has taken excellent care of me during a workup for infertility, a surgery and several rounds of IVF followed by postpartum depression. He is patient, thoughtful and very intelligent. He is up to date on the latest treatments and research. I am also a physician and I trust his judgment and am very happy with my care.

I had an absolutely horrific and frustrating experience with Dr. Budren and his staff. I would not recommend his services to anyone. First, I had a completely unnecessary surgery (I have found this is common at his office). I had a procedure to correct an issue I didn't have that could have been easily identified with a 3D ultrasound. Second, as soon as it was known that my insurance had fertility coverage, I no longer got phone calls back. I seriously waited over 2 weeks, left 7 messages that all went unreturned just to get test results. I still haven't heard from their office, but I went there in person and they told me they have all my results and have had them for a while, but have been "too busy" to get back to me. However, in person, they could not hand me my records because the nurse was busy with a patient. Today, I'm going up there to get copies of my records that I will gladly pay $0.45-$1 per page for (they're making me pay for paper copies of my records) just to be done… with this office! Ladies, if you feel like this is the only office in Tulsa that can help you with fertility problems, I promise you there are better options out there!!! I am seeing Dr. Ahlering in Saint Louis and his staff has been amazing. They are working with a local OBGYN for most of the process and my trips there will be minimal while they still oversee the whole process. Dr. A. also has AMAZING success rates

My OB was completly off in mis diagonosing me. I felt like I needed a second opinion. I had heard Dr. Bundren's name and decided to give him a call. I was in his office withthin 3 days of making the call. He and his staff were awesome. He took the time out to sit and talk with my husband and I. He got right down to the point and figured out what was going on. I am extremely happy I found his office. He is very blunt and straight to the point, but thats what I like.

Bundren has been amazing for me. He correctly diagnosed and potentially saved my life after a very popular obgyn in Tulsa failed to do so. His staff is wonderful and I appreciate all of them very much. I highly recommend going to Bundren if you have any concerns with fertility or endocrinology.

After doing surgery and finding out I had endo, Lupron was suggested. Not one time did Dr. Bundren or his staff tell or explain to me the long term effects of this drug. The only problem I had before seeing Dr. Bundren was infertility. Ladies...do your research before agreeing to let them put this drug in your body. When I started complaining about the side effects, they acted like it was not typical. Well it is! As soon as you start experiencing problems everyone in the office is rude. I eventually felt bad anytime I had to call to talk to a nurse. He kept trying to push IVF on my and I told him in the beginning, my health comes first. I now a very long list of things wrong with me after letting them put Lupron into my body!

One bad person! Take my word go somewhere else! His choice of words I didnt care for like on the table and spread them. I wont go back!

He's the worst choice of Dr you can pick. The few people that liked him must just be happy they got pregnant. We got sick of calling and calling with no return calls. He is rude and that's the nicest word I can use to describe him. Go to another facility---Tulsa womens clinic is a way better choice and they work with you for infertility as well. So glad we changed doctors and stopped giving him our money just wish we would have done it sooner. If you like being miserable---go with him--want to be treated well go elsewhere

If you want a doctor who's sensitive & compassionate, keep looking.

Worst experience ever. The wait in the room for the doctor was over 1 hr long. Not including an hr long in the waiting area to be called. Did few tests. Waited over 1 week to get results back. Then no follow up call from the office. When calling the Doctor back, the receptionist keeps taking messages, but I don't know if she's getting them back to the doctor. Never heard from the Doctor. Ended up going to a different doctor after many calls to the office and heard NOTHING BACK.

Within two minutes of the visit, he chastised my wife for being too thin. When she asked about her running and said she was running 10-25 miles a week depending on the week, he said rather snarkily, "that isn't a lot, my son runs for a d1 program...", at which point my wife cut him off and told him that he was being rude and his son had no relation to her. From there he continued to criticize anything and everything my wife had to say. Without any testing, he told her she has endometriosis and that surgery will be best. Two weeks later, we get a bill from our insurance company as the visit was coded for treatment of policystic ovary syndrome - which my wife does not have. Not once was PCOS mentioned in our discussion with this quack, nor was it present in any of her previous medical records our previous doctor forwarded to him (we moved from out of state recently). It has now been three months and 14 unreturned phone calls and neither he nor his staff have made any attempt to contact… us beyond sending a final bill threatening legal notice.
