Horrible doctor..abusive and out of control. Doesn't know what he's doing. Run from him.

I have gone to this Dr for years and would usually give 3.5 stars but after a recent visit I now would give a zero if I could....I had just finished a 3 week antibiotic course after being on 3 other antibiotics and went to him after experiencing sudden onset of symptoms for a week straight that I feel are related to the long use of antibiotics.....instead of doing blood work for which I was told to fast for, he only questioned me. Then when he found out i lowered my depression medication dose because I was dealing with things better he proceeded to argue with me that all my symptoms were due to anxiety and refused to believe anything else even when I kept telling him I am not anxious about anything...his response was "well I believe you are." When I declined to up my medication dose, he rudely asked me "then why are you even here" followed by the statement "you just want to be sick" when i declined his anxiety diagnosis. Other than vitals he did not do one bit of a physical assessment… which some symptoms required and only ordered a test for an issue that was resolved already. As a nurse, I can tell you no helthcare provider much less a Dr should talk to a patient the way he talked to me! Other Drs I talked to agree more should have been done and I will NEVER go to this Dr again!

My experience with Dr. Burgess spans two decades. He's a highly professional, compassionate, and caring care giver. In spite of the size of his client base I've always felt that he connects on a personal basis. I highly recommend Dr. Burgess.

I HAVE KNOWN DR. BURGESS FOR 25 YEARS. I FIRST MET HIM WHEN HE MOVED TO TUCSON WITH HIS FAMILY. A FEW LATERS, I BECAME A PATIENT OF HIS. HE IS AN AMAZING DOCTOR AND FRIEND. I HAVE TOTAL CONFIDENCE IN HIM AND HIS GUIDANCE. HE ALWAYS ANSWERS MY QUESTIONS AND IS TRULY CONCERNED ABOUT MY HEALTH. GIVE THIS MAN HIS MEDICAL OSCAR. HIS STAFF INCLUDING HIS EQUALLY CARING WIFE, CHRIS, ARE HELPFUL AND PLEASANT. FIVE STARS!!

I love Dr. Burgess. He always answers my questions and explains things to me in a way i can understand.

By actually listening & following up he found the RIGHT medication dosage I should've been on for years. I finally feel great! Staff is always courteous.

The worst and most rude doctor I have ever ever ever seem in my entire life! Do not go to him - especially if your not a white American!!! He is really prejudice and really Unprofessional DO NOT GO TO HIM!!

To sum it up quickly, I'll just say that I dread the day that Dr. Burgess retires. He is an outstanding physician, and truly has concern and compassion for his patients.

Excellent doctor. As a nurse, when you find one, you stick with them and he is a keeper! Very thorough and knowledgable.
