Dr. John A Buxton, MD

I had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy done by Dr. Buxton in Dec 2022 and I had to take an ambulance to the hospital the next day. I didn’t know it when I woke up from surgery, but my cystic duct was damaged in the procedure. I called Millennium Surgery Center and his office several times that day because of how much pain I was in but I was only prescribed more pain medicine and was told it was normal. The next day I was in agony and headed to the ER. I was hospitalized for 5 days because I became septic and had a bile leak that needed another surgery to fix. I now have thousands in hospital + ambulance bills that he and the facility are not helping me pay, all because of his surgery on me.

I was referred to Doctor Buxton for gall bladder surgery after the E R doctor confirmed I had gall stones. Dr. Buxton was able to quickly get me in within a few days. His staff was professional and very kind to me. Doctor Buxton answered all of my questions before surgery. Great bedside manners. Had a successful surgery with no complications. I would highly recommend Doctor Buxton.

Recently had a procedure that went bad, tried to communicate with the woman in the office for a week while I suffered in pain, but the mean woman wouldn’t listen to me until I finally came in and got some relief from the pain; and then she glared at me as I left in tears. She tried to diagnose my symptoms as if she were the doctor and I suffered from it. Doctor Buxton appears to be competent but lacks bedside manner and aweful woman up front is ruining his business; I will never return to this horrible office again.

Excellent communication, Kind and very Excellent in in diagnosing and treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Bucton !!

Seemed very irritated on two visits, during one he seemed like the total opposite. Never explained what the problem was and didn't seem to care. I've seen many doctors over the years and worked in hospitals so I know there are a lot of doctors like this but I for one would never trust such an unstable personality nor tolerate rudnes.

Took time to talk to me, extremely kind Doctor. He makes you feel very comfortable. Surgery went smooth. Although living without my Gallbladder has been uncomforable, as I have other health issue. Wonderful bedside manners, went home the day after, a true no nonsence gentleman. Appreciated immensily.

I'm having to have reconstructive surgery after this doctor tore open my stomach for a simple gall bladder removal. My intestines have come out and are seeping into my stomach. He left a god awful scar and offered no appropriate follow-up. A most discouraging experience.

Dr. Buxton was a very cold and when trying to get the answers we needed he was unable to answer these questions and was quick to blame the patient instead of taking resonsibility for his error's. and we still have not received any questions as to why there were complications and when we asked he would change the subject.
