Dr. John Vincent Campo, MD

I strive to provide care that is truly patient and family centered, where patients and families are partners in the care delivery process. As chair of the Department of Psychiatry, I am personally committed to advancing the quality and safety of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health services here at Ohio State and across the region, in part by improving both the quality and size of our faculty and staff. With specialized training in pediatrics and also in child and adolescent psychiatry, I am particularly devoted to the care of young people and their families. I believe mental and physical health care are of equal importance to a person?s overall well being. As a result, I work diligently to improve the integration of mental health services into general medical settings. My research interests include the relationship between physical and emotional health, mental health service delivery, and the prevention of suicide. I believe making suicide a never event among our youth and across the …lifespan should be a national priority.
