As an attorney I am astonished that psychiatrists can get away with things which would get us permanently disbarred. Conflicts of interest, accepting money from third parties with conflicting agendas, lying about the nature and scope of representation, Dr. Cervantes has broken pretty much every ethical rule in the book. And if that was not enough, throw in assault and battery. You should know that a complaint was filed with the California Board of Psychology. So I have a good feeling that another complaint will probably cost him his license, or at least a suspension.

Dr. Cervantes is everything you need in a psychiatrist. He's excellent.

Outstanding, well-credentialed MD. Takes time to develop an accurate diagnosis and corresponding treatment plan. Treats his parients like individuals with real world problems and goes the extra mile to meet their broader needs.

When I saw him for the first time, he looked frustrated and almost angry. He said basically "your a lost cause." Not only that, he kept raising his voice at me. I needed his help since I was bipolar and sick. Should of been in hospital. I wanted to report him to the state medical board. This doctor cannot help anyone who is in need of serious help. I never mention his name. I never talk about my very bad experience, never refer him, never mention his name. He should have his license revoked. I am a teacher and I know if my behavior was in the negative for any reason...I would be given the back door!!!!! Thank you. Felt good to talk about this so call MD idiot.

I've seen Dr Cervantes over the years for depression following loss (deaths, other). I have always felt safe and cared for in his care. This is a doctor that understands grief, loss, depression. He'll work with you to help you through it all. For me his office was a haven, and a healing place. Today I am feeling great, working, traveling, writing, caring for family, and I know without his care I would not be doing any of these things, in my heart I feel I would no longer be here to do them! Now, I look forward to traveling to Paris with my sister, I've written 6 children's books and still writing more, my life is balanced, safe and healthy. I understand what's needed to keep it this way, because of my time with Dr Cervantes. If you need help, I can't see that you'd find better, more informed or more thoughtful care - anywhere. I haven't been there in years -- so if you read this Dr, thank you, and my kids thank you too, for helping us all! It takes daily attention to stay on… balance, but I'm there, and it's working!

I have been seeing Doctor Cervantes for 3 to 4 years. He has always been very helpful, respectful, thoughtful, open, professional and insightful. And in my opinion has been everything good. He is frankly the best doctor I have ever had and dealt with. I have felt this positive feeling about Doctor Cervantes from the very beginning to the present. And I hope to be able to continue to see Dr. Cervantes for as long as possible.

Dr. Cervantes is a Stanford trained physician who specializes in the treatment of mental illnesses. He is extremely knowledgeable with tremendous compassion for his patients. He has helped me tremendously and I owe my life to his clinical skills as well as his deep empathy for his patients. I recommend him highly.
