Dr. John R Chewning, DO

I am new to Ormond Beach and heard from my neurologist that Dr Chewning was a great Doctor. She wasn’t overstating. He is outstanding! My first visit was so thorough and he was kind, gentle, knowledgeable and bonus, had a sense of humor. I’m so glad I found him know as this is where I want to retire. I think he is the guy I can feel confident will help me as I transition into my golden years. Thank you Doc, Your Young Golden Girl

So they started a new Wellness clinic for medical MJ. They charge $200 for initial visit which is the norm. I was approved but when I went for medication was told the Dr didn't put in my dosage. I called and and was told to come back in and it would be another $125. Any other Dr charges for the 6 month follow up, not 2 weeks after the initial consult. This Dr told me he was new at this and wanted my experienced imput. I informed them I have multiple friends and other Drs that have/do not charge until 6 month follow up but they said I was wrong, which I'm not. The front desk wasn't going to even let me speak to the dr unless I paid but finally did after calling me rude. My wife and I will also be looking for another primary care doctor...I won't give them any of my business and hope you won't either!

Doctor Chewning Is a kind doctor that cares about his patients. The office is extremely busy, because people love this doctor so much, that they are willing to wait to see him. It's very rare to find a good doctor that can also make you laugh. Doctor Chewning is very intelligent and has a great sense of humor.

was going to black sheep medical for a few years...needed to get a prescription renewed and was declined an appointment or subscription renewal because i had not been there in 6 months...... its all about money staff was very rude and will never go back

Ok the main problem I have with dr chewning is that, he is a pervert. He says shockingly sexual things to his female client if he thinks they're attractive. He also likes to try to push a vaginal dryness pill on me ( probably because he's a pervert) and he does not respond to prescription calls for refills in a timely manner. I am so done with this unprofessional baboon of a so called dr.

I've been going to Dr. Chewning for over six years now. He has always been very attentive to my concerns and reacts appropriately with follow-ups. He takes the time to talk with me during my visit and doesn't rush me out. His office staff, nurse and PA is always very pleasant and helpful. i just can't praise the Doctor and his staff enough. I have been going to BSM for over two years now. He (Doc Chewning) is a great doctor and he tells it like it is. I have a B.S. meter built in over the years of getting wrong diagnosis's from other doctors in Daytona. With Dr. C, there is no B.S., he tells it like it is and I feel comfortable going to see him. On my most recent visit, I had a problem with his ladies in the front office, but we worked it out and they redeemed themselves before I left. That meant a lot to me. He will be my doctor til one of us drops dead.
