Dr. John Churchill, MD

My daughter and I met with Dr. Churchill after waiting an hour and was dumbfounded by what he said. He told us the radiologist just sometimes see and say stuff that really isn't there. That my daughter was just very stretchy yet she can't touch her toes, that having a completely straight neck even though it wasn't straight two years ago was normal, that the odd disc in her back was probably normal yet he had no explanation for her pain. He said she didn't have scoliosis (previously diagnosed) , but was only looking at her upper spine and not her full spine on the screen. I think it is time for this arrogant old man to retire. Sadly Florida has few Ped. Orthos and most won't take car accidents as is the case with Ped Neurologists in Florida. After reading reviews I found a common theme of complete disrespect of women and daughters which speaks volumes. "#radiologists just say they see stuff sometimes," pretty much sums up this mans arrogant based ignorance. Wow!!!

My 15 year old son needed arthroscopic surgery on his knee so we saw Dr. Churchill. Him and his staff were very professional but warm and made us feel comfortable. My son had a very fast recovery from his surgery. At his post surgical visit, he sat down with my son and explained to him every picture and procedure from his arthroscopy. He is a great pediatric surgeon and I would strongly recommend him.

Waited more than an hour for 3 of the 5 appointments (the other ones were 40+ minutes), he came in with someone in training and didn't ask if I was comfortable with her staying and rides off all the problems we addressed as something do with the fact that "she's a kid". My daughter is 17 with scoliosis and he told her that numbness lasting for 5+ months STRAIGHT was just "growing pains". Then after finally getting an MRI it's revealed that she has bulging discs and he rides it off as "normal" because shes a kid so its more flexible... and shes never sustained a injury to her back. If you want to be left with more problems and questions than answers then Churchill is the man.

Unfortunately the waiting time was nearly 2 1/2 hours and no explanation. Sitting in x rays for 20-30 minutes also. Dr Churchill couldnt rule out a definite disgnosis and seems we have to go and get now a 2nd opinion

If you leave in this area you know this is about the only pediatric Ortho unfortunately! Dr. Churchill an Dr. Shannon both have horrible bedside manners and I think that with their years of experience they think they know everything but they don't. My daugther was misdiagnosed here with a fracture when she really never had one the staff specially their PA should not be considered PA's they have no idea what they are saying. If my review can help anyone I am a mother talking from my heart I am not the typical to post any comments specially negative ones but I feel that people should know that this place is a factory. Please take your kids to a diffrent Ortho!

Two hours in the waiting room is ridiculous, had to leave without being seem.

Dr. Churchill was truly a lucky encounter. Most doctors will treat you with moderate respect, but there are some that are excellent with bedside manners, and Dr. Churchill is one of them. It took over a month to get the appointment, but it was worth it. He explained all the terminology associated with my case. In addition to examining my lower back very closely. The positive attitude radiated off him. Dr. Churchill seems like he truly cares about his patients. I am a 15 year-old boy, but I just had to say how great my appointment was with Dr. Churchill. If you're choosing, pick him!
