Dr. John Patrick Daly, MD

First let me start by saying this is lengthy and the review is only for anyone that is looking to save money on a minor outpatient surgery performed at an ambulatory surgical center in lieu of a hospital. Dr. Daly never got to the point of performing surgery on me so I cannot speak to that. This review is to speak to the lack of response, help and overall professionalism from Dr. Daly’s practice, especially his office administrator, K.J., which is the face of his practice. Timeline of my experience: 2/10/26 – consultation appointment for gallbladder removal due to stones present. 2/16/26 – following consultation, left msg with office administrator, K.J. to find out status on estimate and surgery date. 2/17/26 - K.J. responded via email and provided estimate, which was higher than the hospital fee. 2/18/26 - responded to K.J.'s email questioning the cost. 2/19/26 - K.J. responded he would have to reach out to the practice administrator at the surgery center. 3/18/26 - after… emails and voice mail asking for update, K.J. called. The information she provided was surprising from a medical entity. Her response to the delay was “After speaking with Dr. Daly it appears it is a normal practice for the surgical center he uses does not respond promptly and it could take months up to a year.” I explained that it is unacceptable and need Dr. Daly to call me back. Dr. Daly never called. 3/30/26 – received email from K.J. that she spoke to Dr. Daly about the situation and he would get hold of their administrator regarding the difficulties. However, still no call from Dr. Daly. 4/21/26 – emailed K.J. stating it had been 3 weeks, and I needed an update and again would like to speak to Dr. Daly and do not understand why he is not calling me back. Dr. Daly never called. 4/28/26 – email from K.J. stating progress made now and looking at surgery date for 5/28/26. 5/5/26 – email from K.J. stating: “I have a date scheduled with the surgery center which is May 28th @ 10:30am. However, Dr. Daly needs an assistant for the surgery and so far, one cannot assist. As soon as I get an assistant to assist him with the surgery, things will be 100% confirmed! I will let you know as soon as I hear back from someone.” 5/12/26, 5/13/26, 5/14/26 – emails to K.J. asking for confirmation so I can prepare to have someone bring me and take off work. 5/14/26 – K.J. emailed “Dr. Daly said we can procced with May 28th. Atlanta Outpatient Surgery Center will give you a call regarding the time you should arrive and more information regarding your surgery. Dr. Daly asks that you do not take any blood thinners, Aspirin, or Ibuprofen a week prior to surgery to avoid excessive bleeding. “ 5/21/26 @10:24 am – emailed K.J. advising I had not received a call from the surgery center nor the estimate yet. @12:02 pm K.J. responded back that details needed EKG, Lab work, medical clearance from PCP to move forward. @12:21 pm, I emailed back explaining all those details had been provided the day of my consultation. @1:29 pm K.J. emailed confirming she had did have all details needed and would reach out to surgery center to call me back confirming time to be there. 5/26/26 – K.J. called stating the surgery center had scheduled someone else for the slot scheduled for me on 5/28. I responded with email to cancel surgery I would go elsewhere. During all this, not once did Dr. Daly call me back. Even if he did not get the messages from his administrator, this is a concern with the office personnel. I could not in good conscience recommend this practice for ambulatory surgery. 5/28/26 – contacted another Dr./practice, Gwinnett Surgery Center, consultation on 6/2/26 and surgery on 6/17/26. Doing great today 6/19/26.

Dr. Daly's cancer surgery on me in 2007 was highly successful! His wonderful friendly bedside manner is second to none. I meet with him every 6 months and it is truly a pleasure. If you need surgery, do not hesitate to see Dr. Daly! I was originally told he was the best by a nurse and from my experience, I KNOW he is the best in Atlanta.

I had cancer surgery done by Dr. John Daly in 2007 and visit now every 6 months as a follow-up. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Daly for any surgery he performs. He is not only an excellent surgeon but a wonderful person. I feel blessed to know him.

Dr. Daly took on my complicated case when 7 other surgeons refused to even see me. He saved my life! He knew immediatly what was wrong with me and went to bat with my insurance co. who did not want to approve my surgery. I can't say enough nice things about him. He is kind, knowledgable and answers all of your questions. His staff is excellant also. I would highly recommend Dr. Daly!

This is an outstanding physician/surgeon. He is thorough, direct,but caring and compassionate.

In my humble opinion, Dr. Daly is a top notch Bariatric surgeon with an excellent track record! He's a very sharp and gifted doc who explains things thuroughly and in layman's terms! He also has a quick wit, an excellent bedside manner, (so I've been told), and is quite warm and personable! Dr. Daly clearly knows his "stuff"! I highly recommend him!!! CMG
