Dr. John Justin Davis, MD

Best primary I could imagine having! Over 14 years with him looking over my medical needs and couldn’t imagine having someone else. He is beyond compassionate, caring and listens to my complaints and works with me to make sure I feel safe and cared for.

Dr. Davis has been my primary physician since my previous doctor retired, probably 10-12 years ago. He has always been caring and listened to me. He is very knowledgable, and has my utmost respect. One doctor we are lucky to have in Paso Robles.

No question, he 's a great doctor!!

Dr. Davis is good about listening to my concerns and acts appropriately with tests or whatever steps are necessary to resolve my symptoms and/or problem.

The reviewer who gave Dr. Davis one star based on rude staff obviously did not actually call Dr. Davis' office. I have tried six different doctors in the last year and Dr. Davis is the only one that I like him and his staff. My husband has a very difficult to manage heart condition and Dr. D always goes out of his way to make time to see him and talk with him. His staff is friendly, professional and very accomodating.

It took me almost 2 months to get in to see Dr. Davis, but he had been reccomended to me by just about everyone that I had talked to. It was worth the wait. When I met him, I was amazed at the way in which he connected, I felt that he genuinely cared about my issues and I thought his self deprecating humor was charming. I can't recommend him highly enough.

When I first moved to the central coast I was somewhat frustrated that I couldn't find an allopathic physician with an understanding for more natural medicine; but then I found Dr. Davis. Not only did he encourage me to try different modalities, he actually called his favorite accupuncturist to help me set up an appointment. He's been able to help address my problems from both a Western and Eastern philosophy, and seems excited when I bring up anything new to look into. I truly enjoy working with him to better my health.

At 51 years of age I've seen my share of Doctors. I've noted everything from the cool detached attitudes to those who simply arent listening to a word I say. Dr. John Justin Davis is neither of those things. He has always been a attentive, caring and patient Doctor who actually listens to what I say. He has a Great personality and a perceptive, alert mind. Add to this his knowlege and willingness to explain things in a very clear and meaninful way and what you have is a awesome doctor. I can not recommend him highly enough.

I have been to many doctors, but I've never had anyone spend the time and attention that Dr.Davis did. Most amazing of all, it seemed that he actually cared for my well being. It took a bit of time to get in to see him, but even with all the patients he still made me feel like I was the only one in the office. In regards to other reviews, you should really meet him before you complain about him.

Dr. Davis was listed as accepting new patients, however, the woman on phone was put-off at receiving my call. She said they only take info on prospective clients and then consider the request. She dismissed me saying Dr. Davis had no room for appointments in his schedule for over two months out. When I said patiently that I would be willing to wait, she went on annoyed asking if I was new to the area. When I replied, no, she accusingly retorted, then why dont you already have a doctor? I said that I did, but needed to change. So she asked why and about my general health complaints & what medications I was on, then seemed to not believe me when I said no medications, what insurance did I have, my age, etc. After all of that, she reiterated that Dr. Davis was full and busy as if my answers hadnt qualified me. I persisted quietly, to which she replied that she would "consider" my request & let me know in a week or so. The entire experience was nauseating. I was purposely made to… feel unwelcome and a nuisance. She even told me in a huffed voice that there was already another person on the other line also trying to see Dr. Davis, as if we had all conspired to call her at once and ruin her morning tea. Perhaps this is the best doctor in town, I cannot know, because the barrier preventing health delivery was firmly fixed. That being said, Ive a hard time believing a good doctor would justify allowing his staff to vet patients with pre-screening interviews in such a manner. Makes one wonder what the qualifications of a patient are? Young? Healthy? Morbidly ill? Someone with specific ailments? Someone using (or not) a particular medication? Whatever it is, I wasnt considered worthy of treatment, not with respect or for my health.
