I cannot say enough about the exceptional care I’ve received from Dr. Michael Desaloms and his entire team. Two years ago, Dr. Desaloms performed a lower back fusion for me, and more recently—just 3½ months ago—he performed a neck fusion. Today, I’m incredibly grateful to say that I’ve made a full recovery from both surgeries. From start to finish, the experience has been nothing short of extraordinary. Eve, Dr. Desaloms’ assistant, has been a consistent source of support. She is unbelievably responsive, organized, and helpful. Any question or concern I had no matter how big or small was handled quickly and kindly. Her professionalism and responsiveness made the entire process smoother and far less stressful. Stephanie, his PA, has been with me through both surgeries, and she is truly outstanding. She is incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and patient, always taking the time to explain what was happening, what to expect, and what signs to watch for. Her responsiveness and compassion… gave me tremendous confidence across both recoveries. And Dr. Desaloms, I genuinely cannot thank him enough. His bedside manner is calm, reassuring, and confident. His depth of knowledge and surgical skill are exceptional, and the results speak for themselves. To come out of two major spine surgeries with complete relief is something I don’t take for granted. I trusted him with my health twice, and both times he delivered outcomes that exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for a neurosurgeon and team who combine world-class skill with genuine compassion, responsiveness, and patient-centered care, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Desaloms, Stephanie, Eve, and the entire staff. They gave me my life back with no pain not once but twice. I will forever be grateful.

I highly recommend Dr. Desaloms and his whole team. From my first visit to my most recent follow up they have all been kind, caring, helpful and so understanding. I came in miserable but not ready for surgery, he was kind and explained why I would need to move forward with surgery. He heard my worries and assured me we could get to a better quality of life and that exactly what he has given me. Eve was so helpful in working with my insurance and getting me through the FMLA info I would need for work also. Great Team-I hope to not have to go back but if I ever need back help he will be my first call.

My spinal fusion surgery went smoothly from the initial consultation to the post-surgery care. I was especially impressed by his staff.

Dr. Desaloms performed DBS surgery on my husband Scott Perry for his Parkinson’s desease. Scott had a pronounced tremor on his left arm and leg. Until then I did not believe in miracles but now I do! Yesterday the device was turned on and the tremor immediately stopped. Unbelievable happiness and a sense of unreality has set in me, as I am watching my Scott so very excited. The depressed mood is gone and his energy us back! We would like to thank all of the wonderful staff who surrounded us and helped us with appointments and treatment: dear Eve, you are my Tinkerbell - big hearted, temperamental and always there for us. Stephanie, you exude cheerfulness and sweetness, calming us down when worried. …. Beyond grateful for the skills and hard work from Dr. J. Michael Desaloms and his crew. Every member of Dr. Desaloms team displays poetry in motion. I woke up one morning unable to use my left hand along with incredible pain. I called Eve at Dr. Desaloms’ office and I know she was able to tell I was very concerned with my situation. Eve was incredible. She was able to immediately work my appointment into the schedule. This was so important come to find out later because of the real risk of permanent disability if there was a delay in receiving treatment. Dr. Desaloms determined that emergency surgery to perform a fusion at the C-7/T-1 was necessary. Today, seven months after that surgery I am back on the tennis courts and living life fully. There are no words that adequately can thank Dr. Desaloms and his crew, so I can only say thank you, thank you, and thank you!

Dr. Desaloms performed a microdiscectomy surgery on my lower spine, and truly gave me my life back. He and his assistant were very thorough at my initial appointment in evaluating my condition and then explaining my need for surgery, and were willing to answer any questions I had. Scheduling all of my appointments (including surgery) was very easy thanks to the excellence of his Administrative Assistant. I felt very well taken care of (and cared about) through the entire process from start to finish, and cannot thank them all enough.

Dr. Desaloms is a great surgeon, and the biggest thing which stood out to me is the way he connects with his patients. He doesn't have the emotional distance of a surgeon. He cares about you and wants you feeling safe and comfortable every step of the way. Great man.

I have had 3 different surgery with Dr Desalom. Always keep myself and wife of what was happening. Virtually no scaring. He gave me the ablity to function again. Great personality and bed side manner and a very skilled surgeon.

Had spinal fusion and disc replacement. The first procedure went well for the first three days,then after I went home I became ill, fever,pain and could not walk or get out of bed. Kidneys were acting strange. Could not control urine. Went back to the er. Waited several hours in severe pain. Finally did an MRI and scheduled surgery immediately. I was bleeding form the previous surgery 4 days prior. After the surgical procedure. I did everything the Dr ordered. Took over a year and I am still in severe pain. As of today I've developed a fever. Just not sure what's going on. Called Dr and he just sent me to pain management. Just doesn't seem right.
