Dr Dickson‘s office wonderful the staff he has are great you have to understand the Covid surround and there’s a lot of phone calls be patient the phones are very busy on where to get testing for the cove it and when they want the vaccine it’s hard to come by the phones have been ringing like crazy when I was sitting in the waiting room I could hear those phones ring and ring and ring two girls answering phones so have patience with this office is very good people and all the exchange it has to do with the prescriptions 1E scribe trying to get it uploading all doctors office is going through this right now

Poor communication, called several different days , wanted to speak with the doctor, He never returns phone calls , he won’t refill any medication, I’m in need of my high blood pressure meds and can’t get them . I finally go to the E R and my pressure was thru the roof .. I get my meds and was told to follow up with my PCP. No more Dr. Dickson for me . He’s usless

John DICKSON will back his staff , no matter how bad they treat you . I had an awful experience with Elizabeth Mathes , she is great if you buy her gifts , but when you stop , she won’t care for you anymore

My husband has been going to this practice for a few years now. TERRIBLE waits, terrible communication...no one will return calls, when you call at 445pm, they will put you on hold until 5pm, then hang up. Most recently, they took blood for labs and when the labs came back with High Risk Issues... a receptionist called and said, your labs came back and we need to see you soon, leaving a message on his phone. He called back and could not get anyone to answer or help with scheduling an appointment. He finally left a direct message on the NP line and an assistant called back and scheduled an appt for 5 days later. When he went in for that appt. they sent him to the ER ASAP as his Lab results were Off the Charts!! Waiting days to tell a patient of his terrible lab results?! We get to the ER and the doctor draws labs and they are just fine. He states that the labs must have been left unworked for a while and the blood went bad...leading to the crazy results. Now we have an ER bill,… because of the negligence and incompetence of this doctor's practice.....

Ive been a patient with Dr Dickson for 5 years . I left my docter from 10 years to come to Dr Dickson office . I was very pleased . Yes , its a little wait but its worth it . He takes time with you and very careing about his patients . I would not change my docter . Hes office staff very professional and freindly .

I’ve been calling daily for a few weeks now - they said they were out of the controlled substance pads - I need to get my ADD med, and I’ve left messages, but no one has called me back. I can’t get a hold of anyone - I get voicemail. Anyone else??? Thanks

I have been a long time patient . Hes is very patience and takes a long time with patients .I kno there a wait but worth it . Staff extremly nice

I have left 3 messages over the past week. Not one person has returned my call. No way to speak to an operator.

I wrote a review about a week ago on how Dickson was refusing to sign an order so my Dad can get Hospice. Well let me tell you how this story ends. My Dad died last Monday after 2 weeks of rapid decline. He died of advanced mestatic cancer and dementia. Hospice and my family gave him some comfort in his final days. WARNING: If you need medical help, dont go to this quack.

I'm writing this for my Dad in Hospice. Dr Dickson has been his doctor for over 40 years. A few months ago I went with my parents who are in their 80s. Went again a couple more times. So have my siblings who live here. When we started noticing Dads memory going, my Mom and us brought to Dr Dicksons attention. He would blow it off, joking with my Dad. Not good. Here we are a year later and Dad is totally incoherent. Dickson is only good at prescribing lots of meds. What really got me n my family is when we asked Dickson to sign an order to get him Hospice and he refused saying he didnt need it. Took 2 weeks after a lot of calls and our Hospice working with us to get him to do it. Our niece, a family lawyer called and they had signed the order. Last year he ended up in ER for his diabetes and they found a dark spot in his lung. Dickson says probably pneumonia. Well after another recent ER visit to BAMC, a catscan found he has advanced cancer in his lungs, adrenal gland and aorta. Why… wasnt this black spot a red flag to have it tested a year ago. A good doctor would of taken this more seriously and better care of him.
