Dr. John Thomas Dugan, MD

Only likes people who need to have surgery.

BEWARE! Dr. Dugan inplanted lens in my healthy 70 year old stepmother. She had cataract surgery in one eye and both eyes received a lens implant so she could go lens free. She returned several times over the next year complaining about her vision. Her right eye was blurry and even glasses did not help. She had become legally blind in the eye that did not have the cataracts because Dr. Dugan had implanted the lens crooked. She finally went to another surgeon in the area who showed her what had been done wrong. He advised her not to have the lens removed because it could cause further damage, but instead performed laser surgery, which did correct her vision back to seeing with glasses. Since this time, we have run into multiple other people whose vision has been ruined by Dr. Dugan. Maybe he does ok with cataracts, idk? By DO NOT allow him to put in lens implants.

Dr. Dugan implanted lens in my stepmother's eyes. She was nearly blinded for months, and he told her to use drops. My father told other people about their experience, and randomly ran into 7 other people whose eyes were ruined by Dr. Dugan. I sent them to another surgeon who showed them the lens were in crooked, but could not be removed or she might go completely blind. He did laser surgery which helped her see better. Do not use Dr. Dugan for any kind of surgery!

Dr. Dugan runs an extremely busy eye care practice in Corpus, but he manages to it exceptionally because he is a very nice, person and an extremely competent professional who has an large, excellent staff. If you want your eyes done right, call Dr. D. He's the best!
