Dr.engel was very helpful with my anxiety disorder. Very friendly and humorous. My new doctor.

I went in for severe abdominal pain, I was "treated" and then told I had a few gallstones , I then was sent home for self medication and self schedule gal bladder removal within the next couple of weeks. Within the next few days I knew something was really wrong, I had to go for a second opinion at another hospital. When I arrived not only did I have jaundice, but my gal bladder was actually on the verge of rupture, and packed full of stones. Some of the stones were getting out and my bile duct was also clogged. My gal bladder was severely infected and was infecting my liver. I was immediately admitted to the hospital and scheduled for emergency removal. During removal the gal bladder was so bad, it ruptured while being taken out, I spent a week in the hospital and it was bad. I hate to think what would have happened had I just self medicated and awaited the normal removal a few weeks out. i don't know who scanned my gallbladder, but you would think that a "few stones" wouldn't mean… packed full.

Saw in E.R. I went to E.R. having BP of 233/92 and h/r of 107. Second reading was 189/136 with h/r of 117. I arrived to be greeted by a nurse who was unhappy to be there. I was taken to a room right away. After 20 minutes or so, a lady came in for me to sign papers for billing. I never saw a nurse in the room. was never hooked to a monitor. Never had an ekg or any blood work or iv. After another 25 minutes or so, Dr. Engles walked in. I explained what was going on. He said it was impossible for my systolic and diastolic to be that close together. i informed him that mine had been that close together and in fact closer on numerous occasions He insisted it was impossible and that my cardiologist was wrong and should not have prescribed me too many different medications. He then said someone would been in with paperwork to release me. This guy is typical of Tanner Health System in Carrollton..

He was very rude.He did not diagnose my condition.He only spent a few minutes with me.He made me wait for two and a half hours before having a nurse tell me they were discharging me.Over all this is why he is a poor excuse of a doctor.
