Dr. John Wadsworth Fisk JR., MD

Have always been able to get an appointment within the week. However, the office is a walk in clinic as well that is open later than most offices and is open on Saturday. So for anyone to give a bad review on how easy or quickly you can get an appointment is a joke! It's a GP not an ER! LMFAO. I have always been called back no later than 5 min later than my appointment time the nurses are always nice and have never waited more than 30 min in the exam room (that has only been once and the appt was at 4:00 so I understand that he may have given his last patient the same respect, time, and attentiveness that he gives me). That being said this doctor has always addressed my concerns and treated me with dignity and respect. He's never blown off my complaints or tried to make me feel like it was all in my head. As for claims of him pushing scripts for big pharma...Lol... The first visit he ran tests and instead of putting me on an antidepressant for Major depression he found my Vitamin D… level was 12 (under 10 is RICKETS) He told me I needed to take a Vitamin D supplement and referred me to a specialist for depression. I have been going to this doctor for 18 mo. At least and he has just recently prescribed me medication for IBS (BEFORE losing 20 lbs and compaining for YEARS that my stomach hurt BEFORE having to be put on chemotherapy for WASTING) that no other doctor cared to try to relieve even when I had went from 130 to 107lb and had told the Drs in another state for 3 years I couldn't eat and my stomach hurt only to be laughed at and blown off by 90% of them. (So it sounds to me like someone leaving nasty reveiws that are clearly retalitory for not getting what they want which is obvious by rating 1 star for availability of appointment when the office accepts walk ins and is open Saturdays...If I had to guess I would say that is the type of behavior that would be seen in someone who was drug seeking and didn't get the opioids they wanted and decided to retaliate by libeling a good doctor but that's my opinion like others are entitled to theirs even if they are preposterous!) I've seen multiple Drs in more than one state and can say that Dr. Fisk is a very good GP! I have seen one time out of the many visits I have had when his bedside manner was less than A++ . He didn't divulge whether he was struggling with a loss in his family or if he had a headache or if he just had to tell the patient before me that their 10 month old child's CT scan that he ordered for a lump they found on his rib cage showed what appeared to be a liver tumor and he was going to refer them to a pediatric oncologist... I just figured that he was also a human being with feelings and emotions who has off days too and that his PHD didn't eliminate or exempt him from life's sufferings... Maybe his bedside manor was off that day because he really wanted to cry but instead he put on a straight face and was a little shorter than usual... Less friendly or less patient... because maybe... just maybe he had a problem that day that was more serious than mine...

Inappropriate and unnecessary prescription. Must be pushing pills for a pharma co. Myself and others decided I didn't need this. Not a pleasant Dr to deal with.
