Der. Flaherty is a caring doctor who is positive and down to earth. He is obviously knowledgeable...but equally important is that he is "wise." His demeanor is perfect for those of us who have chronic health problems.

I have kidney disease, stag horn cakculi with blood in urine. Health first (Royal health) did ultra sound and diagnosis. Referred me to surgeon urologist so they know how sick I am. After visiting one doctor there last month (March) I went to work for 4 hours sightings handwritten doctors excuse. My job demands FMLA paperwork as I work for a very large worldwide company. When I took the FMLA paperwork to my doctor's office they refused to fill it out stating I need a condition that would affect my job. I was very sick, peeing blood uti infection I am not getting paid from my employer for the 4 missed hours just excused so I don't lose my job. This is the second time they have reused to fill out the FMLA paperwork, the other time I had a heart attack and and went to the ER with blood in my urine scared. If that is not a chronic disease what is? I will go to this doctors office again, would rather drive to Orlando.

His Nurse practitioner Fay seems to be more knowledgeable than he is. She took more time to figure out what was wrong with me than he ever did.

I like this doctor however he is always booked out too far and I end up seeing another doc. (3 of 5 visits I had to see another doctor.) He's straightforward and explains well when you can actually see him. Has never followed up, though.
