Dr. John Steven Fox, MD

Dr Fox was on my list of preferred providers but I guess he longer found it lucrative to take Medicare...Thank you Dr. FOX for showing me where your humanity plays into your practice...

First let me preface that 2 stars equates to Moderate according to the stars here. I'd rate overall 1st visit and phone follow up as Moderate so far-most of the weight being placed on the f/u call as it precipated a moving forward treatment plan. If anything changes in either direction I will update.Initially Sought out a seasoned Gyno to assist with either diagnosing or assisting with an ongoing, possibly lifelong, gyno. issue. Front office great, Dr. listened and had a good bedside manner. Visit ended with a need to review previous records before moving forward with a plan. Very pleasant first office experience.After a month, no f/u call from Dr. office that I paid for. (a simple msg would have sufficed even with a call into pharmacy - not even 5 mins of someones time). I had to call them to get the follow up info, if any. I was transfered to the nurse who simply reported to me that they got the records and the report didn't show anything (not news to me). AND?......I was… silent, waiting for the going forward plan.... Nothing.....I then prompted by inquiring the going forward plan. I was told to apply the ointment. What ointment??? I am totally confused...Nurse quickly put me on hold...Several minutes later....Nurse repeated the info. I, again repeated that the Dr. requested records to review them (hopefully) and leave notes for treatment and,furthermore, have someone contact me with treatment plan. After another long pause, Nurse finally said that Dr. (notes? I am assuming) indicated the use of an ointment then f/u in a month. Okay, will you give me the prescription? Did you already call in? What? WOW....Gasp..... Nurse seemed genuinely put out by my questions and confusion. My feeling is that the Dr. is good or even better, but we'll never know due to the personality of the Nurse - who we all know if the first layer for f/u or screening calls. I can't say I'll stick with this office. I will give them one more f/u. If things change, I will updateAgain, it's usually the support staff that sinks the ship in my experience. Unfortunately, since the patient gets so little face time with the Dr. that they pay to see, the weight of the patient "experience" lays mostly in the hands of the support staff (nurse, front office and billing).

I had a TVAH last year and I am very happy for choosing Dr Fox to do the procedure, he explained every detail of the procedure, even before the surgery he made sure that I am ok and he visit me twice in the hospital after the surgery and called at home twice. Very professional and highly recommended

Dr.Fox's nurse is one of the worst! Her beside manner is cold. She is highly inconsiderate of others and their needs for comfort. Dr. Fox himself is ok..if you like confusion. He never gives a straight answer on questions asked, it's all statistics in his medical book. I am a victim of sexual abuse and informed the office of this, telling them it is very hard for me attend my yearly apts. There was NO effort made in trying to make me feel comfortable in anyway! This was my second apt and will be my last!

Doctor Fox is a wonderful doctor. I'm a twenty year old female. Who has seen plenty of doctors for check ups.. might I add that they were all female doctors,He is the ONLY One that has made me feel real comfortable. With out any worries. I recomend him to any one. He is a very nice guy who knows what he is doing and is excellent at what he does

I just went for one visit, but I was impressed. He is a very kind, professional doctor, who made me feel at ease. I like his nurses and the office is very nice and new. They offer great services, and seemed to really care. I would recommend him.
