Dr. John Christopher Goddard, MD

Spent 6 months working with Dr. Goddard and his staff for multiple chronic ear infections (staph/MRSA) that were cause by KP's urgent care (they put a hole in my ear drum and then forced debris down into my middle ear). He gaslit me and my symptoms the entire time. I heard the words "I'm not sure what more we can do for you" more times that you should EVER hear from a doctor. He kept saying that my middle ear was fine and that what I was telling him "wasn't how things like this work". Despite the infections coming back over and over again after multiple rounds of antibiotics, creams, drops, in office applications, etc. He completed ignored everything I was saying. After the last round of meds that he prescribed, I reached out to let him know that they weren't working and heard yet again "that doesn't make sense" and "I"m not sure what more we can do for you"....I followed up with more details and told him that I was losing KP coverage in a few days so I would need any marching orders… to take with me while transitioning to a new doctor at a new facility due to an insurance change.....he completely ghosted me. Zero response once he knew I was no longer going to be a patient. Which I honestly think is what he wanted. He obviously didn't want a "complicated" patient. What kind of doctor cares so little that he sends a human out into the world with multiple staph infections, no medication, no direction and symptoms that are tormenting? I made an appointment with another doctor at PeaceHealth who got me in immediately due to the nature of my condition (which KP would not do....I had to wait weeks in between EVERY appointment). Upon inspection, the new doctor wanted to try the "easy method" even though I had told him we did that already. As soon as that didn't show progress after a week or so, the new doctor immediately ordered a CT. Upon completing the CT, I found that I, in fact, DID have a middle ear infection and now possibly permanent damage to my hearing, the bones and soft tissue as well as the potential of permanent tinnitus. I was immediately referred to a surgeon as that is now the ONLY way to remedy these infections. So, to recap, Dr. Goddard is a surgeon that cannot determine if a patient, in his area of expertise, actually needs surgery. In addition, he cannot even determine the area of the ear that was actually infected. But he WILL gaslight you and tell you how wrong you are the entire time you see him. So, if you have something basic, he's probably your guy....but if you actually have any complications or a difficult to solve issue, don't expect any results other than for your treatment to be drug out for months with zero results. So glad I left when I did and got in to see a doctor that actually cares and knows what he's doing.
