I can’t explain how Caroline O’Donnell & Dr. Hackett both are amazing respectful caring always smiling listens and never rushes you out the office ???? Caroline O’Donnell words can’t describe how much you helped me when I was feeling anxious and always saying we will figure this out ???? Dr Hackett my family and I been seeing for years I call him smiley ?? my PCP is the best 3 million stars ??

Attentive, caring, and professional!

Dr. Hackett has been our family physician for at least 10 years. He is an excellent doctor and I can't say enough about him. He is very attentive to your concerns, if you are sick his office staff always fits you in to see him. When you have an apppointment ...he never keeps ypu waiting,. I know he has a new office in Waltham through Beth Isreal...We look forward to seeing him there.

I have used Dr. Hackett as my primary care physician for many years. Up until the past year, he was superb. I could always depend on him both in the office for his warm personality, his compassion, his willingness to spend time with me during office visits, his diagnoses, and his ability to refer out to appropriate specialists when needed. I could also always depend on him for prompt and thorough follow-up and communication outside of the office. Dr. Hackett is still very nice in the office, but during the past year, his level of communication and follow-up outside of appointments has become almost nonexistent. I had a simple blood test as part of my general checkup recently, and it took over a month for him to get back to me with feedback on the blood test. During that time, I sent messages through Patient Gateway, and left messages at his office, all of which went totally unacknowledged. I simply was not getting any response. More recently, I had an x-ray done. He told me in the… office that he would get back to me the next day with analysis and next steps. After a couple of days of not hearing from him, I contacted him through Patient Gateway, and then by calling his office when he did not respond through Patient Gateway. It took over a week, and several requests on my part that all went unacknowledged, to get any feedback from him. I think it was my final request, which clearly expressed my frustration, that finally got a very terse response. At this point, however, I have given up â?? I am changing my primary care physician. It's too bad, because I thought I would be with him for life.

Dr. Hackett is one of the best i have ever had.

I do not want anyone to go through the FRUSTRATING and AGGRAVATING experience like I did so please choose your doctor wisely after doing your research. If you think you will never fall sick the whole year round and just need to contact the doctor's assistant once a year to book a physical ONLY then choose him. However, if you think you may need to follow up on any kind of health related issues that may appear and you will need a doctor's opinion then this doctor is not for you. I left multiple messages about new health issues that I never had before. I NEVER heard back from the doctor or the assistant. Your messages are always noted by a lady (who is very nice to talk to) but then nothing happens. Its been such a frustrating experience when I kept on waiting for a call from the assistant or the doctor who are NEVER available. When you need help you need it right away as it affects your work and well being. He is nice to talk to but that does not fix your health issues.

Dr Hackett is a nice and kind man. He is also very over booked. Meaning you are not going to get a whole lot of attention. This is more a reflection of the process of maximizing number of patients. If you have an issue that needs a phone response don't bother. You won't get a response anytime soon. It took a week to get back to me once and I already was over the problem. The worst part for me was the medical assistant. I was on a pain medication suggested and prescribed by the doctor and the assistant treated me like a junkie. Doctor was perfectly nice and respectful but it was a very offensive visit.

Not sure about some of these other reviews. Doesn't sound like the guy I see. He has been very helpful diagnosing and getting my medications right. He isn't going to hug you and tell you stories - if thats what you're looking for go see a therapist instead.

I am a fairly new patient of Dr. Hackett's and will be looking for another new primary care physician. He did not seem to care about my issue, and, despite multiple calls to him, he did not return any of them when I needed more information about my condition and had a question about my medication. I am amazed at how poor his concern is and lack of follow up. I had to go to a clinic (unnecessarily) because I couldn't get a return call from him. My wife is amazed and is helping me research new doctors.
