Dr. John William Hallett Jr, MD

What a surprise to find a kind, caring man sitting in an ordinary little office with a monk-like humility overlaying the education and experience he has.

I have hardening of the arteries which Dr Hallett explained is related to my smoking, diabetes and high cholesterol. Dr Hallett helped me get off my cigarettes, lose some weight and used Pletal that improved my walking. What impressed me about him is how thorough, kind and expert he seemed to be. I saw another vascular surgeon in Charleston who wanted to go immediately to some "Roto-rooter" procedure in his office which did seem quite right to me. Thanks, Dr Hallett!

I have PAD. Dr Hallett saw me because I could hardly walk to the end of my street without my legs cramping. He helped me get off my cigarettes, onto a better diet, and used a medication to improve my legs. He seemed to really care about me, and his office staff was excellent.

In 1997 consulted Dr. Hallett in relation to my father. He not only an outstanding physician but all a kind and caring person.

I had an unusual vascular problem and called the Mayo Cllnic. When I said that I lived in South Carolina, they recommended that I see Dr Hallett who had been at Mayo Clinic for almost 20 years before moving to Charleston to lead the Roper Heart and Vascular Program. Dr Hallett understood my problem, treated it effectively, and I am doing well now. He has a great office staff. He explains everything fully, and he is a nice person. Great doctor and surgeon!
