I am so grateful to Dr. John Hollingworth and the amazing team at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Words cannot adequately express my great appreciation for the care given me during my recent surgeries. An unexpected interruption to what I assumed was a fairly uneventful health status came as a surprise when I found that I required a procedure on my kidney that could not be performed by doctors in Flint. I was fortunate to be directed to Dr. Hollingsworth and the U of M for surgery involving my kidney. I count my blessing more than twice for having the opportunity to be Dr. Hollingsworth's patient. The care I received left me with a sense that no stone was left unturned, and my every need was met in a timely manner and with great expertise. I will forever be sincerely grateful for the opportunity to experience the care and concern for me in this very trying time for those in the medical profession.

Dr. Hollingsworth did an excellent job on my father’s surgery. He spent a lot of time with my dad to answer all his questions, and he has an excellent bedside manner. The surgical team and nursing staff at U of M were also fantastic.

I highly recommend Dr. Hollingsworth for urinary stones emphasizing on complex cases. Dr. Hollingsworth is an expert in his field which makes the patient feel comfortable and confident in him. He is knowledgeable, professional, polite, and takes time to thoroughly explain your medical issue and all options to resolve the issue. He offers follow up care with a nutritionist for preventative care. Everyone working in the clinic as part of Dr. Hollingsworth team is top notch and responsive to the patient. the doctor was very clear and informative in regard to the required treatment. the procedure went as expected, and the care was excellent and efficient. dr. Hollingsworth is a very nice man with a great bedside manor.

I had stones removed from my one remaining kidney. Because of COVID, our pre visit was online can my nications. He made a concerted effort on the day of the surgery to explain every little step including what to do after surgery, first post surgery and final stages. He was a total professional and I felt totally secure in his hands. I visited him at Taubman center and found it all well organized and using proper COVID procedures.

Dr Hollingsworth has been professional, thoughtful, and thorough. He takes the time to answer all my questions and concerns; I never feel like he is rushing my appointment to get to the next patient.

Dr. Hollingsworth has been monitoring my condition for almost 2 years and the experience has been excellent. Appointments are on time, and I can get in to the x-ray without much wait. Dr. Hollingsworth takes the time to explain my condition, test results, and options clearly and thoroughly, and has helped me when I needed more information. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Hollingsworth is my kidney stone doctor, and has been for over 3 years. His concern is not only about the kidney stones that may be causing problems at the time of my visits, but also about why my body keeps making more stones. He has always shown attention, compassion and expertise. He has made referrals that may lead to the avoidance of stones in the future. He always explains my treatment options, pointing out the pros and cons of each approach. He shows me the stones on the x-rays and tells me what he is writing into the chart so that I know his thoughts. I can't imagine that Michigan Medicine has a better urologist than Dr. Hollingsworth. I'm lucky that he is my urologist!
