Dr. John Moss Joelson, MD

Very disappointed! Literally stated: "Well a primary care sees a bad echo and they all get hysterical." Acknowledged that it was a bad echo, but did not properly address any other items of note in the echo that were abnormal. When asked if I should follow a particular diet his statement was: "Just stop eating fast food!" Well, that truly defined his lack of knowing anything about the patient, Dr. Joelson just made a very big incorrect assumption--haven't eaten any fast food in 14+ years as it literally makes me sick. Didn't really discuss any family history of heart disease, and said you probably have Fibromyalgia. Hum, think that is a different specialty. Felt that Dr. Joelson was totally dismissive, and didn't really address any of my questions.

Dr Joelson is brilliant, talented and kind. I brought my father to him for valve replacement surgery and I couldn’t be happier.

Dr. Joelson takes good care of both my husband and me. He explains things very clearly and is very respectful. We are very pleased.

I found Dr. Joelson very personable, empathetic, knowledgeable and skilled. Takes an interest in you as a person not just as a patient.

The biggest problem is when appointments are needed more than six months out. I have been told that they would call me and they never do. Make sure that you keep track so that you can call them to set up an appointment. Dr's though are the greatest.

Dr. Joelson has an excellent sense of humor; however, when serious questions are asked, he is right there. Knowledgeable, caring, and patient. I have always felt well-cared for and well-informed under his care. I have never felt rushed, nor have I felt that a question was stupid. He has always made me feel as if I was his only patient. I am leaving the area and know that I will never find his like again.
