To set the scene for this absolute flagrant display of utter patient wellbeing, I will say that I am on two blood pressure medications and anxiety medication. I let a broken tooth go too long and, I ended up needing emergency surgery for a very severe jaw infection, and was sent to Dr. Johnson. At his office I was taken into the room where six or seven nurses just stood in there talking over my head while one nurse took my vitals. It was then that the nurses began to actually make jokes amongst themselves about my high blood pressure as though they were a clique of rabid high school girls and not medical professionals doing a service for a patient. Now unnerved and embarrassed, I try to be a responsible patient and alert Dr. Johnson that I know my blood pressure is high and that I take medication for it. any good surgeon should know these things before surgery. Instead of listening to the relevant information, he laughs at me and says "Right. Cause of the anxiety, is it?" And all the… nurses cackled as I shrunk into the chair. Then they immediately gassed me and I passed out. When I awoke I was herded out the door with no aftercare instructions, no information: nothing. I cannot stress enough the unprofessionalism, the lack of compassion, and the poor quality of patient care in this office. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but Dr. Johnson's.
