I HAD BEEN SEEING DR. KLEKAMP FOR SEVERAL YEARS ABOUT MY LOWER BACK. HE DID TESTS AND DECIDED I HAD A BULGING DISC. KEPT SENDING ME TO PAIN CLINICS. AFTER I WENT THROUGH WITHDRAWAL FROM A PAIN CLINIC, I WENT BACK TO SEE HIM. HE TOLD MY HUSBAND AND I "HE DIDN'T KNOW WHY I WAS THERE. HE WASN'T GOING TO HELP ME. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO HIM EVER!!

A little over a year ago, Dr. Klekamp did a procedure on my spine. The L-5 vertebra had slipped out ofline reducing the space through which my sciatic nerve had to pass. This was causing an uncomfortable tightness in both hamstrings, and I was losing solid control of my left foot, and a couple of other things that I did not know were attributable to the pinching of the sciatic nerve. Dr. Klekamp showed me the MRI and the problem was very clear. He discussed with me every possible non-surgical procedure available. The surgery involved moving the out of place vertebra back into line, thus freeing the sciatic nerve. He placed titanium rods into the spine and secured them with screws along with some other hardware that was involved with making the bone grafts take hold. He used a pain relief IV through surgery and into the following two days. Then I started oral pain relievers for about ten days. As soon as I got out of bed, I could tell the surgery worked!

I was on the oral pain relievers for about a week and after that used Tylenol for pain relief for another few days. I was discharged from follow up twelve weeks after the surgery. As soon as I got out of bed, I could tell the surgery had worked. The hamstrings never tightened again, and I had and continue to have full control of my left foot. I started to notice that some other things that I hadn't paid much attention to before the surgery disappeared! I was very with the effectiveness and results of the surgery
