Dr. John Daniel Knox

I went to the ER after an abscess in my chest was discharging. After quite a wait, I was blessed with the angelic face of Dr. John Knox. I had a whole body rash, from blood poisoning no doubt, my abscess was the size of an orange. He expressed to me he would do all he could after carefully reviewing my concern, and doing due diligence with breast surgeons via the phone, he decided to proceed and did a small operation on me that night. I felt the safety and compassion. God bless him and his team that helped me avoid septic shock.

I met Dr. Knox during a ER visit at Kennestone Wellstar Hospital, let's just say by the time he was finish with his 'assestment' of me I got up out of my hospital bed, got dressed and told the on-site nurse to 'release me'.The treatment that I received was so cold and uncaring and he threw an unethical assestment which I have yet to receive in all my years of visiting the ER nor private/regular physican's. I am a woman with a long history of having a heart condition and because the EKG/blood work came back 'normal' his assestment was 'I needed to see a shrink". He also suggested that my condition was based on having a panic attack.This threw me for left as well as right field as I bought a long over-view document of my previous medical history as well as of a up-to-date journal outlining my day-day, week-week medical conditions none of which I am certain he took the time to review.The service I received I felt was purely discrimination based on I am a patient w/o insurance as we hear… it all the time these so-call Doctors who take the oath to provide 100% care to their patients, so many times the patient goes over look due to these Doctor's prefer to hold on and therefore safe guard their bonuses.I felt I was just another number and what's even more sad is the fact I left out of the hospital exactly in the manner that I had arrived; bent over, grabbing my heart and in pain. The code of ethics I should have received was not the case with this Doctor, 15 years of service so where is his code of ethics I and all patients deserve.Shame-Shame on him.
